Make America Great Again

To espouse this slogan, and to enthusiastically support a candidate who espouses this slogan, you have to think America has fallen to a place that is less than great. You have to believe that this is a flawed nation, that needs much work to improve.

How is what Colin Kaepernick expressed any different from that?

Forget Kapernick. If Trumps assertion were true (it isn't) how does he expect to achieve greatness by appealing to a bunch of white mediocrities?

Agreed, i should probably apologize for that but this thread is in line with what he would do

I'm not looking for a "gotcha" though.

I legit do not see the difference. I always hate it when America reacts to something like what Kaep did, the exact way that we're reacting right now. The whole "love it or leave it" thing. It's basically the opposite of what America is about (at least to me).

And I don't see the difference between what he did, and what Trump is doing. But are saying America isn't perfect, and we need to work to improve it.

As a football fan yourself I know you know the difference between running for President and not standing for the national anthem.

it's a political slogan. It goes to places like the Rust belt, or insane immigration laws that do not penalize sanctuary cities-
and illegal's crimes like killing of Kate Steinle in San Francisco .It goes to stop bleeding good jobs. Increasing GDP

It has nothing to do with white nationalists, or Colin Kaepernick .

Why give this guy any attention?

What a great nation America is.

I prefer we ignore those who try to get attention by saying America is not great.

exactly :)

Kate's killer isn't being penalized?

only post facto.. the dude had a bunch of felonies, and was covered by a sanctuary city when he should have already been arrested and jailed.

On March 26 of that year, Sanchez finished serving a 46-month sentence at a Los Angeles federal prison and was released to SFSD custody, the complaint said. Led by Mirkarimi at the time, the SFSD did not honor an immigration detainer for Sanchez from ICE, saying it had no "legal basis" to hold him because they did not have an active warrant for him.

That same month, ICE had issued a memo creating an official policy to eliminate all communication regarding undocumented immigrants in "direct contravention" with federal and state law, according to the complaint. Despite this memo, ICE specifically asked the SFSD to be notified of Sanchez's release. Sanchez was released the next month, and no notification was provided to ICE, according to the complaint
