Trump brings up that Clinton considered former KKK member Byrd as her mentor

I like a person who had the ability and strength of character to disavow a former wrong ideology.

It shows an ability to grow as a person. I respect Governor Wallace and Robert Byrd for having condemned their past hateful ideology.

although by the time they were mentoring hillary they may still have been racists :)

Isn't there a limit to the mileage that righties should get out of one person?

Whenever there is a discussion about racism, it always comes around to...Byrd!

I don't think HRC ever met Wallace. Do you have some evidence of that, or just wishful thinking on your part?

If you look at HRC's life, starting with one of her first jobs working with the Southern Poverty Law Center she tried to work FOR equality.

Byrd was very candid that he joined and quit for the same reason, political gain.

And if they were republican's you wouldn't and it would be all you ever talked about. So there is that.

But whatever makes you feel safe and snug.

Gee, & here I thought that Saul Alinsky, Abby Hoffman & Berry Goldwarer were here mentors. :palm:

Good she didn't eulogize & claim "some" presidents like washington, jefferson etc etc etc as being her mentor........

Blame West Virginia Democrats for hoisting him on us for 50 years. Men like Wallace and Byrd should have stepped down from office in shame if they really felt remorse for their worthless stupidity.

It would appear the demalquedacrats are worried that Trump is going to siphon off some negro votes. He doesn't need many and her support isn't that deep to begin with.
