He is a modern day hero who managed, against virtually insurmountable odds, to beat the entrenched forces of big business, the City and the Labour, Tory and Liberal parties. They should put up a statue to him outside Parliament.

its what i dont get about the british left. People usually appreciate people like washington ghandi and others like that who fight for the independence of their country and manage to win. Farage fought and won for your independence day and the left hate him.

The Left used to hate the EU, in fact in the 1983 Labour had withdrawal from the ECC, as it was called then, in their manifesto. Many politicians love the EU now because it gives them a second very lucrative career. Brussels is full of failed national politicians filling their boots. Jeremy Corbyn has always detested the EU yet suddenly we were expected to believe that he was a convert.
