is that his last public disaster photo-op, bucKKKle?.....

This is so Trump. :D

"Edwards had warned Trump beforehand that while he would be allowed into the state, he wasn’t welcome if he was merely coming “for a photo-op.” So instead Trump strutted into the disaster area while holding a box of supplies, setting up one of the most unrealistic staged photo ops of the entire campaign, which he bailed on after less than a minute. Then, unable to stick with his pretend-humility for even the brief length of his visit, he began signing autographs for the people he encountered."

One can only hand out so much Play Doh

"According to Michael Castner of the Wall Street Journal, first responders were indeed diverted from being able to help the flood victims as a result of Donald Trump’s visit. Based on the available photographs posted to Twitter, it appears that Trump was signing autographs for whatever random people he encountered, and not specifically for flood victims.

So even if his ego led him to believe that the people who just lost their homes were going to be made whole again by his signature, he was apparently offering it to the wrong people to begin with. Meanwhile President Obama is scheduled to visit the Louisiana flood zone next week in accordance with the Governor’s request, and Hillary Clinton has been actively encouraging her supporters to assist by donating to the relevant charities who are in a position to help."

Did FEMA show up in Loisianna and do a competent job of emergency relief or did a group of political appointees with backgrounds in horse breeding show up and do nothing like they did during Katrina?

More bs! Honesty requires looking at how the media covered and reported on Katrina. Looking towards blaming Bush they found d their avenue via Brownie.

Good link from the left leaning Politico.

I tried explaining all that to Thing [in simpler terms] but he persisted with the 'it's Bush's fault'.

If you want to point fingers with Katrina, you start with the local authorities. The local government isn't chopped liver, they are the ones making the first decisions that affect people that are threatened with disaster. And they made some really lousy ones as spelled out in the link. The federal government only *steps in* at the request of local authority; usually the governor.

I'm sorry liberals, GW Bush was a peripheral player in how Katrina went down.
