Media ignores american who has now medaled at SIX straight Olympics!!! WHY???

Oh and track cycling is anything but boring. If Kierin was marketed properly it could be one of the biggest international sports. It's exciting as hell. The crashes are NASCAR spectacular. It was great to see Cav finally get a track medal. It may not of been gold but by god he took a pound of flesh getting silver. The Omnium is almost exciting as Kierin racing.

I just cannot get my head around the Omnium, what kind of crazy fuck invented that?

I just want you Merkins to acknowledge that we are the greatest sporting nation on the planet!!

Because shooting is a terrible spectator's sport. Most of the American coverage of Rio I've seen is of things like swimming, running, gymnastics, taekwondo, boxing, and things like that. Because they're exciting to watch.
Watching a shooting competition unless you're a competitive shooter yourself is booooooring.

remember when sports was about building character and not about winning trinkets like medals and trophies

OP do you now understand your love of metal penis replacements is not widely shared by man kind

No - i don't remember that. Sports is entertainment and has always been about fleecing the public. The networks are making billions off the olympics. THINK

Olympic triathlon sucks. I forgot that the IOC caved to the whimpy Euros who can't compete in the sport unless they can draft. Team tactics have no place in triathlon. It isn't cycling.

We need more shooting sports in the olympics. Something with more action than target shooting. Maybe have pop-up targets that weigh like 50 pounds so you need a powerful handgun to knock them over. Most knocked over in say 10 seconds wins.

Well that's pretty much true of anything isn't it? I mean I have never gotten it about Golf. It's a difficult game to play that is suitable for fat guys in suits but as a spectator sport it's painfully boring to watch. Now I've suggested a sure way to put Golf ratings through the ceiling so high that it would eclipse the TV ratings of the NFL, MLB, NBA and NASCAR combined. Have CEO's Senators and Congress Critters and third generation rich kid preppies play it on a mine field.

But you know how that goes? No one listens to me. :(

well, that is a great idea indeed. But I think you could garner alot more viewers if you made the girl golfers wear beach volleyball outfits. that's just my opinion.

you have a definite fetish and obsession about metal penis's, don't you?

Fuck you Mott, the Brownlee brothers won the gold and silver at the triathlon. The UK has come second in the medals table and yet again we swept the board in the velodrome! Oh and Charlotte Dujardin won the gold at dressage.

How the hell is China not in second? Man did they drop the ball this time around.

Really archery is a better sport to watch, at least there you can see the arrow in flight and such, watch its careful descent to the target. In shooting everything is over almost immediately.

Great way to put it, I was thinking that too. I like cycling personally, but as a spectator sport to me it's painful
