Intel: Whitey inside

https://newsroom.intel.com/newsroom.../11/2016/08/diversity-midyear-report-2016.pdf

Intel wants to be as diverse as the actual population. What are the reasons for this goal? Do you think it's altruistic or do you think it's an attempt to avoid being a target of possible boycotts by progressives and race-baiters? Or do you have some other idea what could be behind such a business decision?

What do you think?

Tech companies are waaayyyy over represented by Asians and Indians compared to their percentage of population.

My bro-in-law is a tech guy and he's black. I've asked him several times how big a role racism plays in hiring in tech. He says he sees so many more Asians and Indians with the engineering degrees they are looking for.

Want to get more blacks and Hispanics into tech? Start them at a young age. Emphasize tech and programming to poor neighborhoods. These companies can sponsor events in these neighborhoods to get kids exposed and involved. That's how we'll change the numbers long term

That's a true story, T-Mobile had many Asian engineers and techies but not many blacks.

It's about family values. Asian and Indian demand accountability from their kids. Blacks are told that "it takes a village", so it's the GovCo's responsibility to raise their kids.
