Echoing his lapdogs, Führer declares Obama the founder of ISIS

Barak ain't Baghdadi. Trump ( as usual) has the somewhat correct idea, but use the wrong words.
So lets jump on the words,
and forget the fact Obama enabled ISIS to take over large swatches of Iraq by doing nothing as they swarmed across the desert.

It's easier that way. Nobody gets blamed..it just sort of happened...

There is a history....

Historical names

The group has had various names since it was founded in 1999 by Jordanian radical Abu Musab al-Zarqawi under the name Jamāʻat al-Tawḥīd wa-al-Jihād (lit. "The Organisation of Monotheism and Jihad"). When in October 2004 al-Zarqawi swore loyalty to Osama bin Laden, he renamed the group Tanẓīm Qāʻidat al-Jihād fī Bilād al-Rāfidayn (lit. "The Organisation of Jihad's Base in Mesopotamia"), commonly known as al-Qaeda in Iraq or AQI. Although the group never called itself al-Qaeda in Iraq, this remained its informal name for many years.

In January 2006, AQI merged with several other Sunni insurgent groups to form the Mujahideen Shura Council (MSC). After al-Zarqawi was killed in June 2006, the MSC merged in October 2006 with several more insurgent factions to form a new group, ad-Dawlah al-ʻIraq al-Islāmiyah, which translates as the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI). The ISI was led by Abu Omar al-Baghdadi and Abu Ayyub al-Masri, who were killed in a US–Iraqi operation in April 2010, after which Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi became the group's new leader.
Current name
Main article: Names of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant

In April 2013, having expanded into Syria, the group adopted the name ad-Dawlah al-Islāmiyah fī 'l-ʿIrāq wa-sh-Shām. As al-Shām is a region often compared with the Levant or Greater Syria, the group's name has been variously translated as "Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham",[64] "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (both abbreviated as ISIS), or "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (abbreviated as ISIL).

While the use of either one or the other acronym has been the subject of debate, the distinction between the two and its relevance has been considered not so great.[32] Of greater relevance is Daesh, an acronym of ISIL's Arabic name al-Dawlah al-Islamīyah fī al-ʻIrāq wa-al-Shām. Daesh, or Da'ish , has been widely used by ISIL's Arabic-speaking detractors,[clarification needed although – and to a certain extent because – it is considered derogatory, as it resembles the Arabic words Daes (lit. "one who crushes, or tramples down, something underfoot") and Dāhis (loosely translated: "one who sows discord"). Within areas under its control, ISIL considers use of the acronym Daesh punishable by flogging[70] or cutting out the tongue.

In May 2014, the United States Department of State announced its decision to use "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) as the group's primary name. It kept to this decision when in late June 2014 the group renamed itself ad-Dawlah al-Islāmiyah (lit. Islamic State or IS), thereby declaring itself a worldwide caliphate.[39] The name "Islamic State" and the group's claim to be a caliphate have been widely rejected, with the UN, various governments, and mainstream Muslim groups refusing to use the new name.

Now the ridiculous Republican is trying to walk back his claims, after he doubled down on them yesterday.

Donald Trump backpedaled on his assertion that President Barack Obama founded the Islamic State, blasting the media for seriously reporting what he suggested was a sarcastic comment.

“Ratings challenged @CNN reports so seriously that I call President Obama (and Clinton) ‘the founder’ of ISIS, & MVP,” Trump tweeted Friday morning. “THEY DON'T GET SARCASM?”

Trump reveled in the uncertainty his tweet created, boasting nearly 90 minutes later of pundits’ inability to figure him out. “I love watching these poor, pathetic people on television working so hard and so seriously to try and figure me out. They can't!” Trump declared.

He then appeared to finally expound on his comment, echoing the message his surrogates and adviser conveyed on the morning talk shows and blaming the media for being dishonest. “ISIS gained tremendous strength during Hillary Clinton's term as Secretary of State. When will the dishonest media report the facts!” he tweeted.

The Republican presidential nominee’s reversal and subsequent clarification comes after doubling down, if not tripling down, on his “founder” claim Thursday.

Trump had numerous opportunities to walk this one back, and did not. This one is on Trump and his inability to self correct

and it's so f'in stupid..better terms:

enabler
pacifist
disinterested (etc.)

any of the above (rightfully) put the blame on Obama for ISIS expansion..but no,,Trump has to cling to "founder"

ISIS, as everyone sane and sober knows, is the creation of Bush and his dog, Bliar. Trump learned from Goebbels - the bigger the lie the better!

Now he's claiming he was only being sarcastic and is mocking anyone who thought he was serious.
that wasn't what I heard last night..but that's his typical go to "reason"....

Trump would campaign better if he just went to rallies and STFU..he's incapable of saying anything but shock jock type of stuff

His "shock jock stuff" is what he's trying to claim is "sarcasm"

You're an idiot if you "just don't get" his sarcasm. :rofl2:

In my opinion this is conclusive evidence that Trumpf is not seriously trying to win the election.
He is testing the waters to see how far fetched he needs to go before he has to lose.
May I add that this is great fun to watch.

His lapdoggies don't feel foolish for taking him seriously.

Trump uses the wrong words more often than not. And he's unwilling or unable to learn. I don't want a president who often uses the wrong words, we already had eight years of that with bush.

why dumb down my own response? Was it not clear?

Because to put it succinctly, he's an idiot lol.

Trump's spends way too much time being his own enemy. Why he persists in approaching legitimate issues [who is responsible for ISIS] by lobbing softballs at the media is beyond me. By framing the argument the way he did, it gives Hillary's Legion [lol] of media hacks ample opportunity to talk about Trump instead of the issue, itself.

Here's the thing though: the media are not the people. Most rational listeners are aware of the fact Obama didn't literally found ISIS via teleconference to al Qaeda surrogates in between rounds of golf; rather, they're going to think Trump is raising a legitimate issue; albeit, in a clumsy manner.

How will it play amongst the masses? Will they get sucked into the media outrage? Or will they think that Trump has a point?

We may not know till November.

They had a military guy who was heavily involved in intel on CNN last night. He did say that Obama bears some responsibility, because there were things we could have done aside from pulling out that would have been effective.

Then, they showed a clip of Trump at the time, saying we had to pull out & explaining that it shouldn't be a complicated thing - all you have to do is bring the troops home. His tone was basically ridiculing the idea that there was any nuance to it, or other considerations.

And the guy who they had on CNN said the biggest contributor to ISIS was disbanding the Iraqi army - a blunder which also extended the war by years. A lot of the ISIS regulars are guys who used to be in the military there.
