Sorry, unable to paste. Gist of the article is the new trend around college campuses of students wanting buildings renamed if the person was involved in slavery or racism. A building at Yale fits that criteria but the author brings up the man who the University is named after had ties to slavery as well. Should they go as far as to rename the entire school?
Slavery, no matter where it occurred, is/was a travesty. Like racism and sexism people were a product of their time. Should we erase much of our history based on today's standards?
