A head has rolled over the Twitter post by the Riverside County GOP in California showing a bloody hangman along with the phrase “I’m Ready for Hillary.”
Nathan Miller admitted he published the tweet and agreed to step down from his paid position with California's State Board of Equalization, a spokesman for the board confirmed.
"He had a lapse in judgment. He expressed his regret and offered his resignation, which we accepted," said Russell Lowery, chief deputy to Board of Equalization member Diane Harkey.
Miller, 40, also serves as a trustee for the Riverside Community College District, and a faculty group that called for his resignation from that position as well.
