Buyer's remorse

It's hard to remember a worse case of it in Presidential politics.

Primary voters have to be looking back on a field that also consisted of Rubio, Kasich, Walker, Bush & Fiorina, among others, and really wondering "what if?" Any one of those candidates would have been leading in the polls right now, in all likelihood.

New poll out from Marist today has Trump 15% behind nationally. Other polls for battleground states like PA, MI & FL look terrible for him. And the guy actually seems to want to lose, which I don't think is that crazy of a theory. I don't think he ever expected to get the nomination. He probably just wanted to work on his brand, more than anything.

As someone who wants to see a strong opposition party & better national candidates, it's pretty sad. Trump is going to lose, and lose badly, and GOP primary voters will have no one to blame but themselves.

And the dems could have nominated Jim Webb, who would have a 20+ point lead the entire time.

Both camps chose the worst.

I thought it was kinda cute last week when someone here mentioned that Hillary was 'tanking in the polls'.

I've been saying it for months...Trump doesn't want to win. This was yet another failed business venture. He's lost much more than he's gained.

I always love the "I want to see a strong opposition party" canard. Makes me laugh every time.

Trump exemplifies why I was uncomfortable with the GOP and left. You would talk to some Republicans and agree with the on say fiscal policy and then they would say some stupid bigoted comment like....we need to get tha Kenyan, nigger, Muslim out of the White House. I'm not comfortable building a political coalition with people like that. That kind of experience exemplifies many Trump supporters. You hear me ILA?

I mentioned it......because she was......and for weeks prior to the convention......the interesting thing about bumps is they have an up and they have a down.....she will tank again......

I hear you and I can sympathize......I feel uncomfortable with people who can support someone who lied to the American people and said "what difference does it make"......
