Trump often claims he was against the Iraq war, there is video of him supporting it. Why does the media never questioned him when he repeatedly says he was against it?
Cause he wasn't in government. Trump is not as culpable for the immoral Iraq war as Hillary Clinton was.Trump often claims he was against the Iraq war, there is video of him supporting it. Why does the media never questioned him when he repeatedly says he was against it?
Also, Stephanopoulos took it too Trump, albeit awkwardly, to task today when Trump showed his ignorance on the Ukraine.Trump often claims he was against the Iraq war, there is video of him supporting it. Why does the media never questioned him when he repeatedly says he was against it?
Doesn't really matter. Trumps role in our going to war in Iraq was insignificant. If he says he supports it now...he's an idiot.I believe the media did question him... but it was just a small snippet and he was speaking extemporaneously. Additionally maybe it does in fact help that he's not a career politician and doesn't have a voting paper trail, so it's very easy for him to spin something as 'I misheard...' or 'I was just bullshitting' etc
That's not going to happen. She'd be about the stupidest politician to come down the pike if she did that given her role in the Iraq war and given her change of mind about it now. One thing she is not is stupid.I hope Clinton puts an ad up of Trump supporting the war and now saying he didn't.
the same reason the media doesn't hold Clinton responsible for the Libyan 2011 war,or her desired intervention in the Syrian warTrump often claims he was against the Iraq war, there is video of him supporting it. Why does the media never questioned him when he repeatedly says he was against it?
Given The Conventions have become giant infomercials and have little significance any more who cares? You're preaching to the choir anyway.Yeah, Trump gets a pass. Whatever.
The coverage of his convention and hers was almost night and day. Hers was a flawless perfection was his was marred with fear and darkness. That is CNN, the least biased of the group.
that would backfire given she actually did vote for the war and sent people to die. She was a Senator and had a much greater responsibility. That's not a game she is going to play, you can count on that.
'Trump gets a pass from the media'.
That's a rare sentence. Kind of like 'hand me that piano' lol.

or her clinging to "No fly" zones in Syria still today.
It's not pre-packaged sound bite 'newz' -it takes a little background to follow.
They stick with the daily soundbites instead.
Sept 11, 2002,"The fact is, if we decide a strike against Iraq is necessary, it is madness not to carry the mission to its conclusion. When we don’t, we have the worst of all worlds: Iraq remains a threat, and now has more incentive than ever to attack us.”
Jan 28, 2003,[Are you for invading Iraq?] "Yeah, I guess so. I wish the first time it was done correctly."
Mar 19, 2003, Bush invaded Iraq"[Bush] has either got to do something or not do something, perhaps, because perhaps shouldn’t be doing it yet and perhaps we should be waiting for the United Nations, you know. He`s under a lot of pressure. He`s - I think he`s doing a very good job."
Jul 1, 2003,"[The Iraq invasion] looks like a tremendous success from a military standpoint and I think [Wall Street] is really nothing compared to what you’re gonna see after the war is over."
Sep 11, 2003,"I think the president is doing a very good job. I would love to see New York City and some of the cities and some of the states get some of the money that`s going toward Iraq and other places."
Nov 4, 2003,"It wasn’t a mistake to fight terrorism and fight it hard, and I guess maybe if I had to do it, I would have fought terrorism but not necessarily Iraq."
Dec 15, 2003,"[Bush] is a very committed guy, he’s committed to that whole situation and I don’t think he will really reconsider. I don’t think he probably can at this point. Other people will, and you are going to find out at the polls whether or not those other people are right. I mean, you see more and more doves, if you call them doves. The question is whether or not we should have been in Iraq in the first place. I don’t think that this president can do anything about that. He is really — he is on a course that has to stay."
"Ultimately, over the next year, two years, 10 years and 20 years, [capturing Saddam] is just a great thing for the free world."

good god.An MSNBC reporter went so far as to clear his reports with the DNC before he submitted them to the TV station.....
Thats being in the bag......the DNC rigged the nomination process and the media helps rig the general election for the Democrats with favorable stories....
