RNC convention of past?

This whole thing is weird. Comedy Central interviewed Trump supporters and asked them when America was great previously. The reporter would then bring up a social injustice at that time to try and make the person look foolish. You have Hillary who said America has always been great. Tonight she's speaking positively about slave owning founders. This whole thing is upside down.

The GOP left it wide open for the Dems last week.

I mean, their convention was first. They could have owned all of these themes - patriotism, hope, belief in American ingenuity & hard work. They just bailed on all of those themes in favor of the fear & anger that they put out there, and left the door open for Democrats to claim them for their own.

And that's pretty much what they did. The GOP has only itself to blame.

The Republican party is a huge mess:

Consider this... Trump won the nomination and Cruz came in second.

I think you will find the bushes have more in common with Clinton than they do the republicans nowadays. After all they come from the non social conservative wing already.

George W Bush was not a social conservative?

do you no understand that there is a social conservative wing mostly represented by the cruz huckabee types and a neocon wing mostly represented by the bush types?

I understand the inner makings of the Republican Party seeing I've been one my entire life. By leaving out econonics you show how little you actually understand about the party

looks like the economics of both parties are tax cuts for the rich, massive debt, outsourcing, and free trade :)

You can put whatever you want on your platform or paper but its what you do while in political power that counts.

Honestly when you look at what they actually do there is very little to distinguish both parties economics wise.

Democrats cutting taxes for the rich? When have they done that? Are you not familiar with Trump's tax plan? Did you not listen to Hillary last night?

glad to see you only bothered to refute one :) since you couldnt with the rest. Hillary can say whatever she wants. You know the tax cuts are coming.

Bush made some tax cuts and obama continued something like 90% of em right?

Not able to watch but following on Twitter I keep reading today for the DNC sounds like Republicans conventions of the past with the appeal to suburban moderates with stronger security/foreign policy. Accurate?
It is from the standpoint that we are seeing major shifts in both parties coalitions.

This is some awesome alternate reality sh*t. Bush cut taxes. Obama made the lower income taxes permanent. You have a problem with that? Obama raised taxes on higher income earners.

Look at Trump's tax plan. Please feel free to explain how you support it.
