no. that's not even good spin
that's the thing about an unwanted war .putting all this concentrated weaponry/forces along borders
and it becomes a trip wire. Events take over by sheer inertia
with the whole war on terror and iraq and afghanistan thing its like we just went through another vietnam. The treaties can say whatever the hell they want. The people will not be ready to support another war for a while.
those weren't equivalent to Vietnam when we lost 100's in a week. An all volunteer army isn't a draft either.
Neither would any NATO reaction bring in the American public, we'd deplore it, and still fight it.
