So, what's the penalty for years of sexual harassment?
The Financial Times is reporting that Ailes departure comes with a $40 million buyout. Astatement released by 21st Century Fox said that Ailes is currently at work. "The review is ongoing. And the only agreement that is in place is his existing employment agreement."egyn Kelly has added her name to the long list of women whom Roger Ailes has creeped out, disgusted, offended and assuredly caused their skin to crawl.

A little time off and a $40 Million buy out!

"This is a 50 year-old problem, but let's just break it out 3 months before before a hotly contested presidential election. Maybe it'll damage the only news network that even approaches objectivity in covering the election, which is bad for our Democrat candidate. Plus, our rank-and-file are mindless drones nowhere near clever enough to put this all together."

We have had many cases over here of totally innocent people being subjected to media witchhunts over sexual allegations. The most recent were two members of the Tremeloes for alleged assault going back to 1968! Before that there was Cliff Richard, Paul Gambacinni, Jim Davidson and many others. Why are women given anonymity whilst men are treated as guilty till proved innocent? I don't know about Mr. Ailes he may be as guilty as hell but the media seems to have made up their mind already.

People should be legally presumed innocent. But I find it telling that within two weeks of Gretchen Carlson filing a lawsuit to expose him, he was pushed out of Fox without mounting a defense. He and his network had the money and the clout to clobber Gretchen in court. I think a lot of dirt would have been uncovered, not only about Ailes but others in the organization, had Ailes not resigned at lightning speed.

That maybe true or he might just have decided it was a good time to go.

Yes the timing dies seem suspect, however God is what I would consider objective for the most part.

So in your mind, it's possible that Gretchen Carlson, a quite successful TV personality, willingly played along to some sort of Dem plot in which she loses her job?

As Milano said, the timing is suspect.

You suspect a Democrat plot at Fox, Officer?

BTW, the slimy Limey isn't Italian. He changes his name to reflect the titles of various Santana albums periodically. Right now he's using "Milagro".

He also has a dog in the hunt on sexual misconduct charges...

Wikileaks does bear out the possibility.

And sincere thanks for constantly pointing out the errors my phone's autocorrect makes.

I never claimed to be a cellphone craftsman.

But you don't check what you post and just rely on the device?

Does that excuse work with you when a speeder tells you your radar gun isn't calibrated properly?

I am eager to see the Wikileaks document that nails the Democrat cabal at Fox News.

Can you post a link to it, please, Officer?

A few hours after Rupert, Lachlan, and James Murdoch announced Ailes’s departure on July 21 (with a golden parachute of $40 million and advisory gig through 2018) and pledged their “commitment to maintaining a work environment based on trust and respect,” Ailes’s attorney, Barry Asen, intimidated a former reporter for speaking out about her sexual harassment at Fox.

Rudi Bakhtiar, who says she was fired from Fox News after complaining about sexual harassment, says that Ailes’s attorney left a message for her lawyer on Thursday: “He said he heard that I have an interview with Gabe Sherman. His message said that, ‘If so, you violated the non-disparagement agreement.’”

...In the lobby of her hotel, [Brian Wilson, the former Fox News Washington bureau chief] said he would make her a full-time Washington correspondent, which was her dream job. “Oh my God, Brian, that’s wonderful!” she recalls saying. “And he says, ‘Well you know what that means for you.’ I said, ‘Brian, I won’t let you down. I’m going to bust my ass for you. You’re going to be so proud.’ And he says, ‘Yeah, I know. You’re great at that. But you know how I feel about you, right Rudi?’ And all of a sudden I’m like, 'uh oh.' I said, ‘Well...I really respect you, too. I think you’re wonderful at what you do.’ And he says, ‘No, no, no...do you know how I really feel about you?’ I went from ecstasy to my whole body froze. I said, ‘No, I’m not following, Brian.’ He said, ‘Well, let’s just say I want to see the inside of your hotel room.’”

Bakhtiar again told him no. “‘I’m engaged. I’m in love with my fiancé. I really want this job, but there’s no way that I’m going to show you the inside of my hotel room.’” She ended the meeting as quickly as possible.

Around the time that Fox News officially announced Brian Wilson’s promotion to bureau chief on January 25, 2007, John Moody, then Fox’s head of news editorial, told Bakhtiar she was no longer assigned to the Washington bureau. “I had been doing this for seven days a week for five months, so you can imagine how furious I was,” she says.

It wasn’t the first time Bakhtiar had endured harassment at the network. Ailes himself made unwanted sexual comments during her first interview in 2005. “He said, ‘Can you stand up for a second?’” Bakhtiar recalled. “I said, ‘Excuse me?’ He said, ‘Just stand up. I want to see your legs.’ So I stood up and said, ‘Is this part of the job requirement?’ He just laughed and said, "‘No, no, no. Sit down.’”

Bakhtiar's story is particularly pathetic because she begged and pleaded her case that she was the property of another man who had sole sexual rights to her body. Not that she owned her body and didn't want this pig's hands on it, but she should receive special dispensation because she was "in love" with her fiance. In that kind of culture only being the property of one man can give a woman any hope of saying no to a different man.

Typical.

What a circus they are running over there. I have no idea how deep they would have to dig to get rid of all of the filth there.
