While acting critical, inappropriate & disgraceful, in other words his norm, he criticizes a Supreme court justice for doing the same...​

“Justice Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court has embarrassed all by making very dumb political statements about me,” Trump said in a Twitter post. “Her mind is shot – resign!”

The New York billionaire chided Ginsburg, 83, for criticizing him this week and expressing concern for the country’s future if he is elected in November.

Trump said it was inappropriate for Supreme Court justices to weigh in on political campaigns. He told the New York Times on Tuesday that he thought it was a disgrace to the court and that Ginsberg should apologize to her colleagues on the bench.

He has a point.

It wasn't what she said, it's who she is. A sitting Supreme Court justice commenting on an upcoming presidential election is unprecedented, as far as I know.

Yes, I understand that, & I also understand that what he said was just as bad, as he is the very bad choice nominee of one of our two major parties...

I don't think you grasp the gravity of it. If the election were today there's a chance it would end up close like in 2000. And if it went before SCOTUS, like in 2000, you'd have a sitting Justice that has waded, knee deep, into partisan presidential politics before the election. She would almost have to recuse herself. Talk about some serious karma, btw lol.

And you guys are sloughing it off like it's not a biggie.

But if it ever did, it is comforting to know she has so many great minds on & off the court to refer to, like the most revered Anton "I do not believe my impartiality can reasonably be questioned," Scalia said in a 21-page memorandum, rejecting suggestions of an appearance of a conflict of interest.

A recual for any case involving a Trump adm -not just as election.
Further the whole sorry episode calls into her question for impartiality on any case.

I'd hate to see her rule on Citizens United aspects -she lambasted those too without mentioning why
( in terms of philosophy that money=political speech) . she's outted herself as being unqualified by judicial temperament

SCOTUS justices aren't robots so they're going to have to check their own POV on many rulings. You won't come out and say it but I surmise you'd be ok with Ginsburg not recusing herself.
