'Terrorists' smuggled into Europe with refugees, Merkel says

I get the idea one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. But I reject that premise for ISIS and AQ.
Merkel is stating the obvious here -now is a fine time to do so :palm: -like locking the barn door after the horse is already stolen
.

The armchair generals are fully deployed and ready for inaction.

Mullah moon2012 is a CAIR operative here to push a-----rab propaganda as part of their soft jihad against the west. His brother in arms Mateen commits the violent acts of terror and mullah moon2012 makes Rancid, Darcula, KKKhristiefan, Legion Farook and Leonahmed feel like they deserved it. These liberals love to feel guilty

yep. and Hilary and Obama continued the same stupidity, while Hillary also wanted to arm the Syrian FSA also .
None of this interventionism is defendable. American exceptionalism does not equal what these necons expound..
The Chinese -for all their vile hegemony- rely just as much or more so on soft power.

That's what's mystifying about the left: for years we've listened to them moan about the misadventure of 'Bush's War' but when Obama/Hillary turn out to be Bush 2.0 they'll turn around and vote for Hillary anyway.

Ironically, if Bush would have stayed in office 8 more years he wouldn't have gone into Libya. I think he learned the right lesson from Iraq AND he would have supported Mubarak in Egypt: you don't topple secular dictators in the Middle East.

They are there for a reason. I'm confident Trump is enough of a realist about the region that he wouldn't make the mistakes the previous administrations have made there.

I wouldn't credit Bush necessarily with learning from Iraq -anymore than Hilary refused to learn from Iraq.

Good point on Egypt;
it got worse when she supported sanction against el-Sisi for being a "junta gov't" when even Congress wasn't calling for sanctions.
It drove el-Sisis right into Putin's arms.

I heard some add praising Clinton as Sec of State -I though "this ought to be hilarious" -it was. something about negotiating "peace" in Gaza.
She's a 100% screw up anyway she's judged.

That seems to be waning in the south china sea..

She should have stuck to her principles. Now she looks like a lame eider. Same with the Turkish monster- Mr. Israel-friendly. ClintonTrump will probably want troops in to create more confusion- to Israel's advantage and the possibility of starting a shooting war with the Iranians. MORE refugees on the horizon. The new Brit leader was pro-Iraq war and pro-bombing of Syria. They will likely start Thatcherite military tub-thumping to cover for their BREXIT-delivered basket-case economy. You're anti-Putin, I know, but the only solid factors here are Assad and the Russians.

I don't see the Chinese as hegemonic in their own back yard. What are WE doing there ?

You should learn about the rape of Tibet.. Ask the Muslims in the west, or the various indigenous ppls driven out & into Viet Nam, Laos, & Thailand.. They are & have been hegemonic since their inception....

THey are in no hurry, they have all the time in the world, as they slowly strangle their (not even) neighbors in the south china sea...

Yeh, putting military facilities on the Spratly and Paracel islands is really soft, let's hope they never employ hard power then. :palm:

They just lost to the Philippines in the Hague, & they stuck their nose in the air...

I guess we will see real soon of soft they are..

soft power? well yes. but they use hard and soft power effectively. I did see the ruling today however -
now lets see how they respond to an international ruling ( 9 dash line)

Well you probably have not noticed but "the left" is where it has always been regarding American hegemony/imperial sim/war etc.. It is the corp dem party that has shown their true colors.. Nothing new there,PelosiBushNazis.jpg they supported the bush wars & @ least a few hundred thousand Iraqi victims of sadaam are dead & millions left homeless not to mention the resulting sectarianism etc..

What bush the lesser would or would not have done in/to Libya is up for speculation, but I :dunno:

Yea, given trump's record in office etc.. Oh my bad, he has no record to run on-he has never served his country or been in office so I guess you base your conclusions on his TV appearances & tweets=pure speculation IMHO!!

You have to bear in mind that the message of the likes of the Daily Mai and other Conservative racist media is not so much to warn of the mobility of ' terrorists' as to drum up xenophobia, mix it with Islamophobia and pour it into their isolationist propaganda machinery with the intent of concentrating power in the hands of themselves and their armaments/industrialist collaborators. Peace between nations is anathema to these people.

You should also bear in mind that the West pours ' terrorists' into other countries quite openly and by the regiment-load. The onset of groups of people planting bombs in the West is a reaction to Western hegemony- much of it in the ' cause ' of ' Israel's security '. So rather than treating ALL terrified and destitute refugees as ' terrorist suspects '- as the likes of the Daily Mail and its readers would cheer- the solution is to quit making their countries uninhabitable.

Post of the year award.
