Uh oh, markets are now higher then pre-brexit

What oh what will the anti brexiters do now? What else can they fear monger? If this continues, my prediction will be right and that the market simply overreacted because of silly fear mongers and is now correcting itself and making gains.

How does this bode for the theory that brexit costed the economy trillions of dollars? All of that was based solely on market loss and now it is higher.

So, are you willing to right now guarantee that this will have no effect - or even a positive effect - on the British economy over the next few years? Yes or no.

And did you notice that hate crimes are going through the roof there since the vote?

When you ask me questions to clarify my stance or statements, I don't get all knee jerk angry like you do. I accept that as a normal course of discussion, especially when the discussion is solely written word which often cannot convey the emotion etc that the person is actually feeling.

As I have said from the beginning, I have no guarantee. My opinion is that this was a ridiculous fear overreaction and that by the end [I might have said mid, which is still accurate] of this week, the markets will be back to normal. That is what I predicted and so far today, it appears I am correct.

As to its effect on the British economy, I believe I made thread about that. Not sure if it was this board. Cliff note version, I think it will initially have a negative effect, but that once people get used to it, it won't have much an effect. The UK is far to important of a trading partner for the EU to ignore and treat like Turkey.

I have not noticed the hate crimes. Can you please cite them for me.

Nobody can predict. But I had to guess it will have negligible effect in the aggregate.

Remember the UK survived long before the EU. I am sure they will figger it out.

But at least you have something to wring your hands over.

BTW I made another VIX trade. I know you people like when I tell you ahead of time.

The reason that the markets are recovering is because the pro EU sentiment perhaps?

Hate crime up a whopping 57%, from 54 reports of alleged hate crime in the 4 weeks prior to the Brexit vote to 85 reports of alleged hate crimes post Brexit. This is according to th National Police Chiefs' Council. Out of a population of 64 million I would hardly be concerned. What isn't detailed is who is alleged suspect and victim and the nature of the alleged crime.

Are you willing to guarantee the opposite, which you have shown you oh-so much want to happen?
Yes or no?

I live there and it's manufactured hysteria for the most part, but why believe me when you can read Huff Post or the NYT.
