"Real America"... I hope 'real America" isn't as mind-numbingly stupid as this meathead.

Former Illinois Congressman turned conservative radio host Joe Walsh went on a twitter rant following the deadly sniper attack on Dallas police officers Thursday, including a now-deleted message that read: "This is now war. Watch out Obama."

Walsh, a Republican who represented Illinois' 8th district from 2011 to 2013 before becoming a syndicated radio host, delivered a series of tweets that criticized President Barack Obama and suggested that the president was a "cop hater" no different from "the thugs on the street."

"Obama says Cops are racist so 2 uneducated black thugs shoot 10 Dallas Cops," he wrote.

"3 Dallas Cops killed, 7 wounded," he wrote. "This is now war. Watch out Obama. Watch out black lives matter punks. Real America is coming after you."

The right-wing nut-sphere is on fire with rants about disarming blacks.

How long before a JPP con pitches the "idea"?

This was a tea party guy.

Very revealing tweet. I'm sure it's how many of them think. Really sad stuff - especially that he was once one of our representatives in Congress.

The head of a law enforcement advocacy group lashed out at President Barack Obama in the wake of the Dallas shootings that left five police officers dead, accused the president of carrying out a "war on cops."
“I think [the Obama’s administration] continued appeasements at the federal level with the Department of Justice, their appeasement of violent criminals, their refusal to condemn movements like Black Lives Matter, actively calling for the death of police officers, that type of thing, all the while blaming police for the problems in this country has led directly to the climate that has made Dallas possible,” William Johnson, the executive director of the National Association of Police Organizations, said in an interview with Fox on Friday morning.

Johnson said although the Thursday night shooting of law enforcement officers reminded him of “the violence in the streets in the 60’s and 70’s,” he pointed out how Obama’s response appeared different than his predecessors.
“I think one of the big differences then was you had governors and mayors and the president — whether it was President Johnson or President Nixon, Republican or Democrat — condemning violence against the police and urging support for the police,” Johnson said. “Today that's markedly absent. I think that's a huge difference, and that's directly led to the climate that allows these attacks to happen.”
"It's a war on cops," Johnson also said. "And the Obama administration is the Neville Chamberlain of this war."

Glad you were able to add the thoughts of another idiot to this thread. Totally appropriate.

Predictable response from one of the board's biggest hacks.

WARSAW — President Obama condemned the sniper-style shootings of Dallas police officers Friday, calling the assault a "vicious, calculated and despicable attack on law enforcement."

"I believe I speak for every single American when I say we are horrified over these events, and we stand united with the people and the police department in Dallas," he said.

"We will learn more, undoubtedly, about their twisted motivations, but let’s be clear: There is no possible justification for these types of attacks," Obama said. "Anyone involved in the senseless murders will be held fully accountable. Justice will be done."

"Today is a wrenching reminder of the sacrifices they make for us," he said. "They are heartbroken. The entire city of Dallas is grieving. Police across America, which is a tight-knit family, feels this loss to their core. And we're grieving with them."

And he has spoken like this before. Obama has never called cops in general "racist."

Some idiots on the right are just keeping the blinders on to the real problem. It's amazing that a guy like Walsh doesn't even have a comment about a cop unloading 4 bullets into a defenseless driver.

The president continued, "Let me just say, even as yesterday I spoke about our need to be concerned as all Americans about racial discrimination in our criminal justice system
(blame the cops, even before you know the facts)

(Always use a tragedy for political gain)
And in a nod to the heated issue of gun control, he said, "We also know when people are armed with powerful weapons, unfortunately it makes attacks like these more deadly and more tragic.

Gov. Dayton had seemed shaken by a video that showed Mr. Castile as he died after being shot by a police officer standing at the window of the car he was in. The governor has pointed to the role of race in the shooting, asking: “Would this have happened if the driver were white, if the passengers were white? I don’t think it would have.”

(All the cops are racists)

The statements made do not support your incredibly stupid - and I mean incredibly stupid - conclusions.

Racial discrimination in the criminal justice system is obviously still an issue. It's not "blaming cops" to bring that up. It's irresponsible to NOT bring that up.

And I don't think there is much doubt that a white driver doesn't get 4 bullets for reaching for ID. It's in no way saying that ALL COPS are racist.

Wake up, bravs. You sound even dumber than usual.

Not all but enough to be a problem.

"In Ferguson, Missouri, for one, a Justice Department investigation found cops were pressured by the city government to raise as much revenue as possible by ticketing residents. Since police were most active in neighborhoods that are predominantly black, these residents were targeted at hugely disproportionate rates: Ferguson is about 67 percent African-American, but from 2012 to 2014, 85 percent of people stopped, 90 percent of people who received a citation, and 93 percent of people arrested were black."
