He said that Hussain was a bad guy three times, but added that there were no terrorist in Iraq under Hussain's rule. Then comes the always retarded CNN who has zero ratings without Trump.

No, he praised how he killed his own citizens that he thought were terrorists without a trial. So, he did indeed praise him, you can twist this anyway you wish, but he praised the guy, who supported terrorists, but killed his own countrymen.

What was the purpose of even bring up Saddam? To show there were no terrorists because he killed thousands upon thousands of his own people? That's what we want here in America?

Zigg Heil's Führer loves him some dictators:

Trump has made it clear that when it comes to world leaders he admires, the more authoritarian they are the better. On Tuesday, Trump reiterated his fondness for tyrannical strongmen when he praised former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

The presumptive Republican nominee said at a rally in North Carolina, referring to Hussein. "He killed terrorists. He did that so good. They didn't read them the rights. They didn't talk. They were terrorists. Over."

This is not the first time Trump has praised Hussein — or a number of other dictators for that matter.

He has also said he admires Vladimir Putin and says North Korea's Kim Jong-un is "amazing".

"You have to give him credit," he said. "How many young guys — he was like 26 or 25 when his father died, take over these tough generals, and all of a sudden, you know, it's pretty amazing when you think of it. How does he do that? Even though it is a culture and it's a cultural thing, he goes in, he takes over, and he's the boss. It's incredible."

The purpose of bringing up Husain is the current lack of leadership in Iraq and the current proliferation of ISIS terrorist that are killing Americans and others around the World. You may now go back to your cave.

Cawacko doesn't live in a cave, you have him confused with Trump supporters like yourself.

He can do no wrong w/ his fans, even as he destroys his own party & their legacy..........

Well, it's Trump so what did you expect lol. Plus this 'story' provides an opportunity to pivot from Hillary's embarrassing victory over the law.

Ironically, his broader point was the same as many critics of the Iraq invasion: Saddam kept the terrorists in check; and by toppling Saddam we opened a powder keg of radical Islamism. So in a very narrow sense, Saddam was a 'good' dictator.

JPP liberals disagree with that? Or it's outrage time because Trump said it?

You don't think Iraq [and arguably the whole middle east] would be better off if we left Saddam in power? That's pretty much the consensus isn't it?

Isn't that tantamount to saying he was good for region?

We fvcked up in Iraq no doubt. But Saddam promoted terrorism in the region. He paid families of suicide bombers. So I get the argument of saying we shouldn't have gone into Iraq. Making that argument by saying Saddam killed a bunch of terrorists is not how it should be made.

Saddam kept the Islamists amongst his population at bay, presumably, by killing them. I can't get outraged over that.

But Saddam was an evil man that did a lot of wrong: and Trump could have left 'good' out of it but most people get what he's saying.

yes he did. he also went after the kurds, and ran torture ( mostly uday and qusay) houses.
Trump is saying "saddam is bad" - but in the case of allowing AQ to function/nest in Iraq he went after them..

Cheney's CRAP about 'deep, longlasting, far-reaching" ties between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda, was another lie.

I think he's making a larger point about how interventionism causes "blowback"...but it'sTrumpSpeak -so who knows?

But the larger point [which practically all liberals agree with] gets lost because he said 'good' lol.

He killed, maimed and raped thousands upon thousands of people in his country who did nothing wrong. That's nothing to be outraged over? Is that what you'd like to see happen here?

I'm getting better at deciphering TrumpSpeak. It's a twisted path of rhetoric..
Clinton on the other hand you have to try to dig thru the pandering.

Neither of these folks are Churchillian type speakers.

It's like saying Hillary didn't really violate the law because it was only a few emails
