Is honesty an issue in this campaign?

I actually think it's off the table, which is kind of a sad statement. I mean, if it is a consideration - which candidate has the edge?

Hillary's dishonesty is a politician's dishonesty. It is rooted almost entirely in expediency, and covering for mistakes she has made or other inconvenient truths.

Trump's is certainly more pathological. There was some fact-check recently that had him averaging a lie every 5 minutes. Trump doesn't lie for expediency; he lies because that's basically what he does.

Neither is a great option. Trump's is much scarier to me, but I get that opinions vary.

id rather vote for something I want and not get it rather than vote for something I dont want and get it - Eugene Debs

Allow me to translate for I Have A Thing1 For Hillary

He is saying "I hope people don't consider honesty as my candidate Crooked Hillary would be fucked if they do"

I was hoping an ardent Trump supporter would chime in.

Trumps so called 'lies' are mostly accusations and statements that are not yet proven, or can't yet be proven to be accurate......
akin to stating that climate change is caused by man, or Lynch's meeting with Bill Clinton is totally innocent, or taxes are too high, or taxes are too low, etc. , Opinions....

Lie has a definition.....it doesn't include being unknowingly inaccurate, or stating opinion while not having all the facts....

I never sent or received emails that were marked classified, etc.....THAT is a lie....knowingly stating something you know is false.....
I turned over ALL my emails to the FBI.....a lie,
You know the many many other lies Hillary told to the public so I'll not bother to restate what we all KNOW to be her consciously stated untruths....

I think honesty in politics was off the table a long time ago.

Trump is scary, but his supporters are too stupid to realize it. I just tell them so anymore, I am not even being civil about it any longer.

Politics and truth are nearly mutually exclusive and have always been so.
Actions are another matter.
HRC is a habitual failure, can't name an accomplishment as there are none. THAT is scary.
At least Trump has demonstrated ability.

Where has he demonstrated ability? You make me laugh. He had to become a reality TV star to save his name.

Clinton's dissembling on her Email explanations falls apart. Then she makes a new stance, and that falls apart too. etc.
At some point extensive dissembling becomes lying -but her supporters always find more ways to accommodate her.

Trump is so bombastic it's hard enough figuring out what he is trying to say..then he'll go back and adjust.
Is that the same/worse/as known prevarications?

What a gawd awful bunch to choose from

Do you tell them they should support Hillary?

Billionaire. If you think anyone can do that then why doesn't everyone do it ?
Don't have to like him but to pretend he's not accomplished is silly.

Trump would be a.pauper if not for bankruptcy (6 times).
I call that failure.

ive been leaning towards not voting for either Trump or Clinton. I've been thinking about who could accomplish more as President. Gary Johnson or a tree stump. The tree stump is pretty much walking away with that one.

Oh brother Rune. Every major corporation in the nation has numerous bankruptcies for failed business units and franchises. It's part of doing business. Some models succeed and generate profits. Most fail within five years.

Using bankruptcies as a sign of failure is only appropriate when you come out of one personally bankrupt.
