After meeting Trump yesterday, Bob Corker is OUT!

Bob Corker met with and campaigned with Donald Trump yesterday in North Carolina....

It was widely billed as a "try out" for selection to be VP.....

Today, after the meeting, Corker withdrew his name from consideration, said he would not accept the job.

Bob Corker was widely considered one of Trumps top choices because he would have lent creditability and experience to the ticket, oops, another one turned down the Donald! I don't blame him, he has a good reputation, why ruin it.

Yes, I think he has aspirations of his own, why blow them!
 
For as much time as you spend talking about Trump you should know he's not going to pick one of the so-called favorites.

Who do you think he will pick? Who are the favorites, it seems those with any experience are all saying no. (Except Gingrich who has experience, but not since the 90's)

I have no clue. Trump is a show man however and he's probably going to pick someone we haven't thought of. There's zero chance he's going to pick a 5'2 Senator from Tennessee however.

Personally I think Ernst would be a good choice, but Trump would risk alienating his base if he chose a woman. How could she be qualified if Trump were to die?

It wouldn't make sense Jarod. Conservative Southerners are not who Trump needs help with. He needs someone with more of a moderate reputation to help him in the Midwest where most of the key swing States are. I think Evan Bayh would be a great pick for Trump but I hope like hell Bayh doesn't commit career suicide like that. I'm hoping that guys like Bayh and Kasich see the writing on the wall and become Democrats. Though that's not likely to happen.
