Trump's dangerous comments on fighting terrorism

Quite a few times, Trump has suggested lowering America's moral standards to match that of terrorists - most recently when he talked about how we need to "fight fire with fire," and how terrorists probably laugh at us over dinner because we have these silly rules of conduct.

Trump has talked about using nukes, killing the families of terrorists & making America a nation that uses torture - or at least methods that are "much worse" than waterboarding.

This election has some pretty high stakes. For the first time that I can remember, we have a candidate who doesn't think America should represent any kind of higher moral authority in the world. He literally doesn't see that America stands for something that is better than what the terrorists are offering.

Trump called on America to "fight fire with fire." The presumptive GOP nominee told supporters that, while he likes waterboarding, it probably isn't "tough enough."

"We have to be so strong," Trump said. "We have to fight so viciously. And violently because we're dealing with violent people viciously."

Trump reiterated his belief that America should hold itself to the same standard as a fascist death cult. Asked to respond to Senator John McCain's claim that torture is "not the American way," Trump replied, "Well it’s not the American way to have heads chopped off and have people drowning in steel cages, and so we can have our disagreements, but we’re going to have to get much tougher as a country. We’re going to have to be a lot sharper and we’re going to have to do things that are unthinkable almost."

It's worth remembering that, for the Republican standard-bearer, ordering the military to hunt down and kill the wives and children of suspected terrorists falls under the "thinkable" column.

You've never been in a fight have you thingy ?
Never had to defend yourself, have you.

You believe that the Queensberry rules apply when you're attacked, don't you ?

Just askin'.....

Did you fight a lot when you were wiping wings in the Navy?

Poor Blabo.

By the time of the election Iraq/Iran should be gearing up to liberate Mosul , given how quickly they are pushing back ISIS.
All this talk doesn't look at the ground - there isn't any need for nukes ( not that there ever was) etc.
I would caution that how we got here in the first place is more important then campaign rhetoric.

1. Bush's Iraq war created AQI, which became ISIS

2.Recall Obama's failure to strike them as they crossed into Iraq ( his "JV" comments")

3. His and Hillary's jihad of "Asaad" must go" -just like Clinton's "Qadaffi must go" set the stage for a power vacuum
that ISIS filled in both Syrian and Iraq -and if it wasn't for the fractured Libyans themselves now going after ISIS ( Sirte,Libya)
ISIS would be extending the caliphate across NW.Africa

4. Hillary wanted to arm the Syrian rebels..the last thing Syria needs is more arms and the FSA is notorious
for getting their weapons seized by al-Nusra & company.

5. Hillary is the chief international architect, and chief US advocate for the 2011 Libyan war

CONCLUSION:
As bad as Trumps language is, it's Bush/Clintons/Obamas policies that got us here.
If it wasn't for the Iranians ( which are glomming up Iraq to a colony) we'd still be looking at ISIS
as a protracted terrorist state

Which has nothing to do with calling for the abandonment of decency, the negation of American principles and the violation of international law to pander to the panty-pissing panic and blood-lust by proxy of bigots and racists.

No, it doesn't. America's decency and legal obligations aren't situational.
we would not be in this situation to be concerned with situationals .
We better figure it out because worldwide terrorism is on a jihad.

Given the proclivity of Hillary's screwed up innate interventionism: 'If you don't know where you're going, any road'll take you there'

Nope. We are not going to become monsters to fight monsters.

That's what Trump is promising you. Hint: he can't deliver.

number 1 in open to debate....
and bad language never killed anyone....Trump is not responsible for any of our gov.'s foreign policy blunders....
Trump never ordered any troops to do anything......and wouldn't last too long as CIC if he ordered troops to commit what we now view as war crimes...

we're already the monsters. WTF is the Iraq and Libyan wars?
If it wasn't for the Iranain's rescuing us, and ISIS conquering more territory- we wouldn't care about situationals.

Trump is way too late with his alarmism, unless Hilary takes us there again.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Of course. What a surprise that you'd take issue with giving Bush any accountability.

Your title as his #1 apologist remains unchallenged.

And are you suggesting that Trump is lying about everything he is saying? Interesting that you still support him.

You should fear the terrorists more than Trump. I'd give them a better than a 50/50 chance they'll pull of a dirty bomb attack within the next decade. Let that settle in before you go to making moral equivalencies between us and them.

Regarding the equivalency: it's lame. We'd have to go a pretty long ways before we'd even be in the same moral ball park. We don't crucify people, burn them in cages, engage in genocide and/or whatever else the twisted bastards do in service of jihad.

And Trump isn't going to nuke anyone [though if we get it first, all bets are off] pre-emptively. And anything else he would do would require congressional approval, since he would be president of a republic and not a dictator.

I have the Trumpster pretty well pegged: his rhetoric is designed to communicate how serious he is about the problem of radical Islam and the potential danger it poses for this country. And yes, I'm ok with advanced interrogation techniques on *known* terrorists. And I think we should have a re-do national conversation on it and we will, if Trump gets elected.

If Hillary gets in, we can go back to fretting over climate change, transgender rights and all that weighty stuff progressives pee their pants over lol.

So your excuse is that your idol is lying, lol?
