The EU should seize this opportunity, now that it has jettisoned its British deadweight, to establish full federation. A constitution should be promulgated. A European wide election (i.e. not one controlled by member states, and one composed of pan-European political parties) should be established for a European parliament. An elected presidency or prime ministership should be established. The new European parliament and executive branch should be granted similiar powers to the United States federal government: authority to regulate all interstate commerce, authority to lay taxes and spend them to promote the general welfare, and a list of responsibilities along with a clause giving the European Federation all powers necessary and proper to carry out those authorities. National borders should be abolished and states should be prohibited from doing anything that impels the free movement of European citizens within the European Federation.

actually wait I agree with this.

Let Europe set up a one European government and then each nation should get a referrendum similar to brexit which will give them the option to join up or drop out of the EU European government entirely :)
