I think JK Rowling summed this up.
"Brexiteers like the cheating man shocked he can't stay in the spare room for 2 years while he sorts himself out."
if the prenup said two years then it should be two years otherwise why have a prenup?

you utterly miss the text (which is not surprising)The tenth amendment says nothing about individuals. And it's worded such that it basically has no relevant legal effect anyway. All it says is that the federal government has the powers that it has, which was already the case upon passing the constitution. As well, the constitution sets up a system in which sovereignty is shared between states and the federal government. No sovereignty at all belongs to individuals. Individuals are by definition not sovereign in a civilized society. Sovereignty means that you can do whatever you want, and the only restrictions on your behavior are diplomacy and war.
Sovergnty does mean exactly what you wrote -you can do what you want subject to law ( not diplomacy and war). The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
Trump is out there saying that American voters will have a chance to do the same thing come November.
His campaign has to be losing it.

you're missing co-sovereignty. where the individual delegates thru agreed upon government which powersSovereign entities are by definition not bound by law. Law is the method of dealing with conflicts between non-sovereign entities. War and diplomacy are the methods of dealing with conflicts between sovereign ones. If you are bound by a law, whoever is issuing the law is the sovereign, not you.
That's the basis of the Constituition

Speaking from personal experience?
so true but they fucked us all
yes. several of my wifes friends are currently going through it.
It's always a "friend", "someone else's friend" or a "friend of a friend" in these anecdotal tales, isn't it?

considering that i'm in my first and only marriage, who else could you possibly be referring to?
Article 50 should be triggered immediately. 2 years to negotiate your future, all 27 member states (who are quite rightly pissed off at you) have to agree to the terms in that time or you get nothing and are treated like a random African country. This is the path you have chosen, Britain.
Don't be expecting sweet Swiss or Norwegian like terms from people you've just spat in the face, Britain.
I keep reading this is only the beginning of the exits. and not to make too much of it from an American perspective -
but in general it's not so much economics driving this as the feeling of being ruled by remote bureaucrats.
Freedom is a catchy idea.. self sovereignty is the natural state of mankind (etc.)
But i'm not getting any real desire to stay in, more fear and loathing of what happens if the states leave.
