Trump has almost no campaign money

It's been done that way for far longer than that. Senators and Congressmen have their own fund raising events but the biggest bucks are paid for the President or the Presidential nominee. Republicans control Congress (for now), the control a majority of Governorships and state legislatures. I'd say that's pretty good.

For sh*ts and giggles PMP I'm still trying to understand what your problem is with these results.

I have no problem whatsoever with the Republicans controlling the House and Senate and state government....I look forward to that continuing for another twenty years.......I'm just pointing out that it doesn't have to be the Presidential nominee that raises the biggest bucks......if the RNC chooses to stand aloof from Trump they need to be prepared to step up their game and take up the slack.....

Who else in the RNC could go out and raise as much money as the Presidential nominee? Paul Ryan? George W. Bush? Ted Cruz? Romney? None of those guys could match Trump.

But Trump's whole M.O. is I'm self funding so if he takes money from the RNC, i.e. donors, isn't taking away a major plank in his campaign?

This is not a rhetorical question, what would or should they do?

What does the entire RNC have to offer that would raise more money than the Presidential nominee?

if the RNC needs advice on how to raise funds then the party is beyond redeeming and should be disbanded......

I write this for Trump supporters. What is he doing? He raised $3 mil in May has $1.3 cash on hand. That's basically no money. He's running no TV ads. He's doing nothing for those in Congress or the rest of the party. Cruz by comparison has $6.8 mil COH. If the goal in supporting Trump is to completely crush the Republican Party then so far so good. But is he even serious about running right now?
I'd say no. There was talk early on in his campaign that he was a plant for the democrat party, and now it's looking like that's exactly the case.

They know how. You send out your Presidential nominee who hosts $35K/head dinners. You get supporters of the President "bundles" to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars each.

But your talking about a new paradigm without identifying what that paradigm is.

you're talking about the Hillary paradigm.......you want to stick with that, vote for Hillary....

I wouldn't sell Trump short because of money. He was far outspent by his GOP rivals but still one. Money is the mothers milk of politics but northern be all. Many candidates have won who were far outspent by there opponents.

He will get the money I am sure of that, he is in Aberdeen at the moment. My old mate Mickey Foot, ex-sound engineer to the Clash amongst others, was there. He led the protests to stop him building his golf course but it opened anyway. Trump should never be underestimated, too many in Scotland know that to their cost.

This is what Republicans have done for decades. It was the George W. Bush paradigm. Your comment makes zero sense unless you are trying to be obtuse.

You want Republicans to do it in a different way, although you have no idea what that way is. You just think their must be this magical new way to raise more money.

i know trump tried to get the donors but failed but i seriously think he stumbled into the winning strategy here. Just run a barebones campaign and dont accept donor money. Just do rallies and internet ads and whatever staff you can afford and then keep calling hillary corrupt.

if they choose not to support Trump they're going to have to, aren't they?......

I guess so considering "I'm so rich, I'm worth $10 billion and could self fund $1 billion in this campaign" won't put any real money into his campaign because he's not worth nearly as much as he claims nor does he have nearly enough cash to fund a general election campaign.

I'd rather have a poor candidate who claimed he was rich than a rich candidate who claimed she was poor.....
