21 Palestinian journalists in Israeli prisons

The number of Palestinian journalists in Israeli prisons has risen to 21. This includes eight media workers arrested since the start of this year, prisoners rights group Addameer said on Monday.

Among them are Addameer’s own media coordinator Hassan Safadi and Omar Nazzal, a member of the general secretariat of the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate.

Safadi was detained in May as he returned from an international conference in Tunisia, while Nazzal was detained in April as he was en route to a meeting of the European Federation of Journalists.

Both are among more than 700 persons in administrative detention, Israel’s British-colonial-era practice of imprisoning Palestinians indefinitely without charge or trial.

Look at the lessons of history. It's fascist governments that imprison journalists.

The US government is about to give 50 billion dollars to Israel. How does that sit with its commitments to oppose fascism and to avoid assisting states which are in breach of UN resolutions and international humanitarian law ?

i know your one of those allahu akbar death to israel people but we have to be fair here. Let us say America or Britain even were able to capture a dozen members of ISIS. Would they let them go because other members of ISIS formed an organization and suddenly said they were "journalists"

The imprisoned journalist are, of course, accredited.

accredited by who? I mean if we captured a dozen isis members you could just set up the moonbat isis reporting agency and accredit them and it doesnt mean we should release them. Heck you could accredit the entire ISIS army and it wouldnt matter.
 
'Accreditation' means recognition of news media representatives by the Government.

Now you can ask ' who accredits the government ' and I can tell you to fuck off, troll.
