a 2 year old is the right size snack..given she was in the right place shallow water.

Yes I know that but there is. YUUUUUUUUUUUGE difference between a 7 footer and a 3 footer. Dad would have been able to fight off the 3 footer.
 
The child was a boy you idiots, and his body was found in intact. The sheriff said he believes he was drowned. This is a horrific tragedy, if you don't give a crap enough to read, don't comment on it. While I believe STY is out of his mind, and incomprehensible on this (and many things) I don't think he is totally heartless to this. I have never in my life seen Grind show any compassion or empathy or even understanding, about dead children, and that goes back to Sandy Hook. Which he in many ways gleefully celebrated with that other moron Billy. This tsku person whatever his name his, is cut from the same mold. Anatta is not heartless but as usual is yapping about shit he knows nothing about.

From what I've read, and I haven't read everything by any means, I had to tune it out at some point, this happened stunningly fast, and the father attempted to wrestle with the alligator to get the boy back, but he failed. The mother may have entered the water as well according to CNN, I don't know and probably won't because I'm going to avoid anything further on this after this. Of course any sane person would agree there should have been warning signs, this was sick. Just a terrible awful lapse of judgement. You would think that people of any political beliefs could at least agree on that. I think most of us, with a few glaring exceptions, have loved a child more than we have loved ourselves, and would without a thought lay down our lives for them.

I am so sorry for this innocent baby, and my heart hurts for his parents. That's the end of this for me.

It seems like a waste on both fronts.
 
A 2-year-old, wading in a lake in Florida at around 9/9:30 at night, when Alligators are known to hunt.

Is there anyone on this forum who doesn't know that if you go to Florida you should probably avoid going near the edges of bodies of water, let alone IN them, and especially at night?

While it's a horrible thing, the parents are the ones who bear responsibility here. Or rather, they SHOULD bear responsibility, but they won't, because of idiocy.
