I don't expect to get what I wish. And I hope Trump continues on this trajectory, as well. His poll #'s are going down, and he had the kind of week that alienates everyone but his core supporters.
 
looking at it from a realpolitik point of view people like trump and o reilly are the only ones who can pass meaningful gun reform.

Same logic as Nixon being the only one able to go to china.
 
Oreilly is as uniformed about guns as JPP liberals

Challenge for the JPP liberals.

Many on the left keep saying that these are "military weapons". OK name on military unit in the United States that uses a AR15 as its weapon of choice? Can anyone?

I said military style weapons as I knew that somebody would focus on that.

It's a weapon that is primarily designed for mass killing.

Times are changing. I think the country hit critical mass this past week; people are coming around to the idea that we're idiots to have these weapons available to the general public.

As soon as I read the bolded, I got a crazy fit of yawning.

Do you guys ever get tired of overusing that incredibly bogus example and comparison?

People can have guns. The 2nd amendment guarantees that. People can't have every weapon that we're able to develop, and they shouldn't have weapons that are specifically designed to kill a lot of people, fast.

people SHOULD have weapons that are comparable to the government as per the 2nd Amendment. it's what it was written for.
