Guns in this confusion would most likely have resulted in innocent people shooting other innocent people. The police and other experts don't agree with you that guns would have saved lives, it is a misconception of those who support guns being in clubs and on campuses.
 
All these mass shootings, and concealed carry hasn't solved even one of them so far. What a genius idea. All stand your ground has managed to accomplish is giving people permission to murder innocent black teenagers.

your first mistake is believing that cops are experts. they are not. your second mistake is believing that the 'experts' are unbiased in their opinions.

I repeat, if guns didn't save lives, cops and politicians wouldn't have them around them at all times.
