Suspected Islamic extremist shoots dead at least 20 dead at Florida gay club

CNN is reporting that the murderer phoned 911 (either before or, my guess, during, the shootings) and claimed allegiance to ISIS. According to a "source".
 
Also some reports (unconfirmed) that he was on the terrorist watch list. If true that would mean someone on the terrorist watch list was able to legally purchase an assault rifle. Congress should resign en masse.
 
Obviously the facts will come out at some point but the idea that a guy seeing two men kiss made him drive two hours to a gay Orlando night club to commit the worst mass shooting in U.S. history seems a little far fetched. Has to be something deeper here.

I don't know, I feel like a violent backlash to the success of gay civil rights is bubbling up. But you're right,, the facts will come out at some point, everything about Orlando right now is preliminary. You know, the young singer who was shot to death in Orlando last night, not far from this night club...the original reports said it was her ex-bf. Ends up they had never met. Sounds like a deranged stalker. You always have to wait. The one thing we know for sure - they both had guns.

I think you guys are just finding out what what already know the hard way over here. When looking for possible motives, I refer you to Occam's Razor (non sunt multiplicanda entia sine necessitate).

Yeah but lefties want to blame guns. Because you know without a gun it would have been IMPOSSIBLE for him to kill 50 Howey types.

Probably a loner radicalized Muslim. If his connections to ISIS were official [for lack of a better word] he wouldn't need to phone in his allegiance.
 
so we got the lone wolf? or maybe in contact with ISIS? Now to see just how deep the radicalization roots are.
Or if he just used that as an excuse to kill - but being on a terrorism watch list...not good.
