Conservative Christians feeling the love

I'm not personally very big on televangelism but Joel Olsteen is a good person in my opinion and has a lot of great messages about morals and life that all of us should listen to and try our best to follow. Nobody is perfect of course and he will even acknowledge that, but if you listened to some of her sermons I think you'd probably lighten up on him a little in my opinion.

how do you feel about left leaning preachers

That is exactly what I would ask of you.
His transparent self serving greed and sanctimonious manipulation of trusting people is overwhelming.

While the poor of Houston suffer, he rakes in the cash and splurges on multi-million dollar luxury homes for himself and his family.

Any politician's days in office are numbered so cons can't use that excuse. We know better, even if the Faith & Freedom hypocrites don't.

"At a major event for conservative Christians this morning, a Republican senator joked about praying for President Obama’s “days to be short.”

Sen. David Perdue, a freshman senator from Georgia, opened his remarks at the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference by encouraging attendees to pray for President Obama. But, he added in a joking tone, they need to pray for him in a very specific way: “We should pray for him like Psalms 109:8 says: May his days be short,” the senator said, smiling wryly. The crowd chuckled and he moved on with his address.

The rest of that passage, which Perdue did not recite, reads, “May another take his place of leadership. May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow. May his children be wandering beggars; may they be driven from their ruined homes.”

I have known too many evil people who claim be Christians

religion attracts sociopaths to their power structure

Politically i'd probably disagree with them but depending on what their messages are and how they interpret God's word it would depend I guess on how I feel about them from a religious point of view. I don't have any ill will towards a left leaning preacher though or anything like that. We are all sinners at the end of the day.

I'm sure he's given back to the Houston community but all residents of Houston with jobs are making money every day while others suffer, even outside of Houston across the nation. Hopefully he and others that are in a position to help are helping.

You hope so...do the facts bear that out?

What did Jesus say about a rich man and the Kingdom of Heaven?

What did Jesus say about feeding the poor and healing the sick?

What did Jesus say about money-changers in the Temple?

I applaud anybody who tries to live for Jesus and God's word regardless of their politics. I can disagree with someone's politics and even their religious opinions yet still like and respect the person and the religious beliefs.

they follow Jesus better than you do

Jesus never said for you to demean black people and punish them for their skin color

Jesus never said poor people are takers
