Inside the bitter last days of Bernie's revolution

Sanders is himself filled with resentment, on edge, feeling like he gets no respect -- all while holding on in his head to the enticing but remote chance that Clinton may be indicted before the convention.

Aides say Sanders thinks that progressives who picked Clinton are cynical, power-chasing chickens — like Sen. Sherrod Brown, one of his most consistent allies in the Senate before endorsing Clinton and campaigning hard for her ahead of the Ohio primary. Sanders is so bitter about it that he’d be ready to nix Brown as an acceptable VP choice, if Clinton ever asked his advice on who’d be a good progressive champion.

that's exactly what some of you are. power-chasing chicken fools.

There’s also the issue of payback. Campaign aides say that whatever else happens, Sanders wants former Congressman Barney Frank and Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy out of their spots as co-chairs of the convention rules committee. It’s become a priority fight for him.Sanders, the aides say, believes Frank has hated him for years, but the former Massachusetts congressman’s calling him a “McCarthyite” pushed him over the edge. He never really registered who Malloy was, despite his being from a neighboring home state and his status as one of the most liberal governors in the country, but Sanders was enraged to hear the governor say he had blood on his hands for not supporting the gun manufacturer liability law.

Really juicy stuff:

^ excellent article,,great inside info. lots of goodstuff

Sanders and aides laugh at the idea that he’s damaging the party and hurting Clinton. They think they don’t get enough gratitude for how much they held back, from not targeting more Democratic members of the House and Senate who opposed him to not making more of an issue out of Clinton’s email server investigation and Bill Clinton’s sex scandals, all of which they discussed as possible lines of attack in the fall. They blame Clinton going after him on gun control for goading him into letting loose on her Goldman Sachs speeches.

I don't personally know either man so I can't say, but Frank has openly said many times that Bernie is a miserable prick whose personality is so abrasive he alienates even his ideological allies. Is it true? Are there two sides to that story? Who knows. After watching Bernie during this primary I believe it, but your mileage may vary.

Between Cawacko's thread about the poor Silicone Valley boys having a gun held to their heads by illegal restaurant workers, and the wake for white male hegemony in this thread, I just feel so bad. I hope I am not up all night tossing and turning over this.

You either misread or completely misunderstood my post.

It was almost surreal watching Sanders speak late last night with not an ounce of doubt that he will continue on. Have to respect his persistence on some level, but the race is long over. He is better served pedaling Clinton's message and helping the Dems unite and win in November.

You should pity Grind at least. I mean the poor guy never got to experience white male hegemony before he lost his virginity. Sad...really sad.

MSNBC is doing something, who knows, it takes Rachel a while to get to her point...but she showed footage of the 1964 Richard Nixon HQ's, and it's so funny because there is a big sign "Vote For Dick". And my motto this year has been "Dickless 2016", which I've had to text to more than one emo male trying to browbeat me into The Bern (I have a cream for that and offered to share, but...)

It's so cool. Vote For Dick. 52 years later - Dickless! I love it.
