Trump never ceases to surprise me with his skillful unpredictability. I would have never guessed in a million years he would have done this. But looking at it now - it's masterful and would be a great way for him to reach out to Bernie supporters - showing their candidate the respect of a debate that Mrs. Clinton wouldn't.

I would love to watch this debate.

He claimed he raised 6 million. Not 4 million.

Donald Trump is prone to making exaggerations. But considering he cut the vets a check of 1 million personally - I think most reasonable people will cut him some slack on this particular inaccuracy.

As you like to say, reading is FUNdamental.

I did not say they only raised $1 million dollars. What I said was he contributed $1 million dollars personally, which is more money than either you or I will ever give to veterans. So for either of us to try and criticize him on that front would be pretty comical.

He's 4 million short of what he said he raised, and it took him 4 months to pay.

The $1 million I was referring to was his own personal contribution. It wasn't the total raised by the event. You are confused again.

The media reports I have read estimate $4.5 million was raised by the event.

The Trump campaign has already admitted they did not raise 6 million.

The event probably raised something around 4.5 million plus the 1 million Trump personally donated himself. So yes, the amount raised was exaggerated.

My point was Mr. Trump has still donated and raised more money for veterans than the both of us have or ever will. So for us to sit back and knitpick over the amount and criticize that he only raised 5 million instead of 6 million makes us look petty and foolish.
