It must be a magical time to be a racist

Yep...More "RACE BAITING from the left. Surprise, surprise.:whoa: One must be a BIGOT to use such tactics. Now tell us one more time how you are not BIGOTED against White Americans...especially Conservative white Americans. As you demonstrate YOU PROJECT your own ID (inner desire) upon others as you assume others to be just as you are. You must be one of the most bigoted and racist individuals on this board. Its all you want to gossip about.....as pappy says, The SMELLER is the FELLER".

Is this nation not DIVIDED ENOUGH FOR YOU? When will you characters get a new play book other than "rules for radicals"? You can't hide from the history actual of the democrat party and its fundamental roots grounded in racism and bigotry. Now you attempt to use that tactic in order to divide and segregate this nation....hoping your communist guild will continue to hold onto the power it has deceitfully garnered by helping to destroy this nation from within. You attempt to chastise your political foe because WHITE MEN overwhelmingly supported a certain candidate....but on the other hand its not racist or bigoted in the least when YOUR GUILD jumps through hoops in order to garner the BLACK VOTE at a 90% + rate. Its only YOU that insists upon keeping America divided by race..White Americans and Black Americans...why can't all of them just be AMERICANS? Its not in your play book. You must have division...a fracture...you do not want patriotism or assimilation into ONE group with the commonality of all simply being AMERICAN.

Strange indeed. THE DOUBLE STANDARD and your DUPLICITOUS defense thereof.

Tell me Ralphie... why do you believe standing up for blacks automatically means you're bigoted against whites?

I believe having an either-or mindset is a big problem in our society. And I could tell you're that type the minute you wrote the words "race baiting." Race baiting, race hustling and the like are just excuses you use to justify your negative attitude and disdain for blacks. You have to reach way back into history to argue about Democrats and racism because you refuse to accept that your party is the biggest offender today. Your party claims to be inclusive and have a big tent. If the GOP doesn't appeal to black voters you have no one to blame but yourselves. Take the plank out of your eye Ralphie, all you're doing is making excuses for your discriminatory views.

I support jailing the employers who offer the lower wages.

Jailing employers? What do you think the unintended consequences would be for legal Hispanics in that scenario? (I ask this while acknowledging not all people here illegally are of Hispanic decent.)

But that's job-killing...they're job creators....:rofl2:

I suppose that's the justification because criticizing the employers always seems to be an afterthought with cons.

I suspect if authorities could burst in on every Senate and Congress household they would find plenty of illegal employees; housekeepers, nannies and handymen. It's happened before.

Legal Hispanics would be documented. I don't understand your point. An example of holding employers responsible would be farmers who hire illegals to work in the fields

How are all these illegals supposedly stealing American jobs?

I thought the motivation for employers hiring illegals was lower labor costs, no regulation, and no benefits,

Are cons seriously suggesting they would work under those conditions?

Go into any wealthy neighborhood and you'll see plenty of Hispanic housekeepers and nannies and who knows what percent is legal. I have a cleaning lady from Central America and I have no idea her legal status.

If you are hiring a number of workers and a large number of the applicants are Hispanic how willing would you be to risk your freedom if someone illegal slips through the cracks?

If Americans would do those jobs illegals wouldn't be coming here looking for work. I wonder how many employers would pay a minimum or better wage to American workers, if they can get an illegal for a lot less.

And another thing, the illegals not only get less money but their working conditions are horrible. Americans wouldn't stand for that.

Exactly. So whose "American jobs" are illegals stealing?

People do it all the time.

"With U.S. unemployment near 10 percent, many believe illegal immigrants are taking jobs from Americans. But when the United Farm Workers union launched a campaign offering to connect unemployed people to farm jobs, only three people accepted -- out of thousands of inquiries. Union president Arturo Rodriguez says most balked at the difficult working conditions.

"They really don't have any idea what it is to work in agriculture today," he says. "We've just gotten so far away from that type of society that people have forgotten."

The United States has a guest worker program that would allow farm employers to hire immigrants legally. But farmers like this one — who asked to remain anonymous — describe it as a bureaucratic nightmare.

"Every farmer I know would gladly use the program and be legal," he says. "Every Hispanic would love to be legal. But the program is so onerous, it's so hard to use, and so expensive....And you don't necessarily get your people. [If] the crop is ready, [and] the people are not here, boom, it's a loss. Most growers will not take that chance."

He says he's tried to hire Americans, but he simply can't find enough able and willing do the work. "The truth is, nobody is raising their kids to be farm workers," he says...

...Martin says wages, benefits and labor conditions for farm workers have remained relatively poor for decades because of the steady stream of illegal immigrant labor.

I was unaware, or haven't heard of, employers going to jail for hiring illegals which is what you are proposing
