Russians humiliating U.S. Navy with new anti radar weapon

In 2014, Russia′s state-run news media outlets, without citing any specific sources of information, ran a series of reports that claimed that during that incident the Su-24, equipped with the Khibiny electronic warfare system, disabled the ship's Aegis combat systems.

The jamming claims were ignored by Western mainstream media. They were dismissed in February 2015 as "nothing but a newspaper hoax" by the Khibiny jammer's Russian manufacturer KRET' website, which asserted that Khibiny was not installed on Su-24 but claimed it was "capable of completely neutralizing the enemy radar".

One analyst described the incident as "about as tame a flyby as you can get."

It looks to me Khibiny is ECM for the fighters, and not capable of "disabling" Aegis..No wonder western press ignored the claims

When a Russian fly's over a US ship 12 times, as close as 30 feet, the pilot has no fear of being shot down, as he knows that there is no radar lock on him and that every weapon on this ship that can hurt him is radar guided. Thus the ship was defenseless, unless there was a slingshot aboard...............

It happened, multiple times, face it.

sure. that must be why he wasn't fired upon..:rolleyes:
In real time combat the Su-24 would never be allowed to get that close.
It was Putin's provocation ,nothing more
