Cheney is reputed to have made almost 40 billion dollars out of the Iraq war. Trump is a crooked businessman too. They'll be cooking up war for their mutual financial advantage.

He really is just one of those guys who refuses to go away. He has messed up so many things in this country, and still sees fit to put himself out there as some sort of authority.

Cheney is a super hawk! They believe he could fight ISIS with his bare hands.
They didn't seem to mind all the other establishment types that Trump has been collecting along the way, mostly his foreign policy gurus, now his financial advisor, so why would Cheney be bad for him?
The establishments are coming on board, and he has rejected any of them, his group thinks Trump is going to make them all heel. Trump does no wrong, I kept waiting, and thinking, okay, this is finally going to do it, they are going to start rejecting him, and so far, that hasn't happened. I don't think it will, like he said, he could murder someone in the middle of the street and his followers would find a way to justify it.

Trump is kind of the anti-hawk. Not sure why you think Cheney's support would mean anything.

Cheney and Palin are pretty polar opposite.
His ego, it means more to him than you realize for that reason.
I don't think that Hillary has ever given the impression that she can defeat ISIS in the same way that Trump has.
The difference is also, that Hillary has not rejected the establishment in the same way as Trump has been advocating.
