Trump is definitely not on the Jesus train. Perhaps that will help him with American Jews, who always claim they are afraid of Evangelical Christians in the GOP. Hard for us to get any farther from Jesus than the NY wreality tv star and Democratic fundraiser.
 
how can anyone watch that 13 minute video of her changing all her positions or see all the statements about her being against illegal immigration and still think she isn't completely full of shit? You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

Surely he only called illegal immigrants criminals and rapists? We have much the same debate over here, how can you vet people that are in the country illegally? We are also seeing diseases like TB coming back because of so many migrants coming into the EU.

Trump didn't actually say what his detractors claim he said in that instance. For whatever it's worth lol. Between his myriad enemies in the domestic media coupled with Ramos in the Spanish speaking media, Trump needs to realize what he's going to be up against or he'll never get more than 10% of the Hispanics.

If it were any other republican but Trump, I'd say it was hopeless.

It's going to be interesting to watch. That's the only thing I'm sure of.

One thing I noticed is that people tend to treat 'Hispanics' as if it were a monolith: as if one statement by Trump could cause him to lose the whole bloc. The reality is they are Mexicans, Cubans, Brazillians etc. Many of them came here legally, many haven't. Some are second and third generation and some aren't.

They're pretty diverse. Arguably more so than blacks. So they're going to have a diversity of opinion on immigration.

And you have the usual tribal differences that come with that. Many Cubans don't care for Mexicans for example. So to assume that since Trump slams Mexicans [to whatever extent he did] doesn't neccessarily equate with 'losing the Hispanic vote'.

At any rate, Taco Gate is a joke lol. It's hard to know how it would affect 'Hispanics'. They might think it was funny.

You have to bear in mind that many Hispanics get their news via Spanish speaking media and they can put any slant they want on it.

( I realize he was talking ab out the Mexican gov't -but come on, that was a horrid statement)..but the press is gona kill him,, they'll hype anything -not just Trump..but he beter do some serious out reach, and he better explain how halting illegal immigration helps the HIspanic community..

Trump being Trump..I have my doubts he'll drill down to the particulars

????......I have said since there were 17 of them that he was not my choice but that I would vote for any of them before I would vote for Hilldreary.......and I have made a point of countering the left's stupidity about Trump and every other issue since I joined this board in 09.......that's longer than a day..........
