Trump has a Latino Problem

I know they're just poor white people, but why don't you ask some WV coal miners about that.

West Virginia coal miners who have been abused by the mine owners and the Democrats who have made conditions in those mines better for the workers, are you kidding me? It is unfortunate that the miners are being laid off due to coal being out of fashion, but unfortunately, it happens in many industries, times change, people use other products and those workers must find a new way to make a living. It is just like the oil industry in Alaska, there have been a lot of lay offs, people are having to find other jobs, it is unfortunate, but that is Capitalism.

How is he going to fix it?

If Trump’s plan is to inspire millions of Latinos to vote against him, it’s working. Even though the general election is still six months away, the “Trump effect” has already sparked a huge increase in voter registration by Latinos. The pace of registration is so great that it is projected that almost 2 million more Latinos will vote in 2016 than voted in 2012. Moreover, the surge in Latino registration is occurring in key states, like Florida, Nevada, Colorado and Texas.
If Clinton just takes Florida, how will he win?
There are a huge influx of Puerto Ricans coming to Central Florida, because Puerto Rico is bankrupt.
That in itself will probably keep Florida blue - it's been trending that way -but it's still considered a purple state..

Also of note..Our old "friend' Alan Grayson is back, and running in the Democratic primary to replace the Marco Rubio seat -
who is not running fore-election..

Grayson has ethics problems, and the Dem's leadership has asked he not run. But Grayson isn't going to listen.
I never liked the guy, he's an example of hyper-partisanship run wild to the point it's poisonous- but a lot of left wing zealots do support him

Here is the lowdown on Grayson: Alan Grayson’s Double Life: Congressman and Hedge Fund Manager

Coal is more than capable of being cleaned up, indeed that's exactly what they are doing in Germany, China and Japan. It is slightly startling to see that you are just an old fashioned laissez faire capitalist after all.

Myopic morons- you'll recognize them for sure.
The future needs the raw materials that coal provides. You having burned it all away it may well send back a Terminator for your nuts. Oh, wait..........

Good info..somehow coalmining has become the work of the devil..the EPA under Obama has regs that insure it's gonna get killed.
Because theEPA is an executive agency; and because SCOTUS has ruled the EPA not take costs into consideration for health probs
we have the effect of a single person in POTUS killing an entire industry.

Now coal may or may not be a viable commodity in this green world -but something is wrong with the US system of governing
that 1person has all that power.

HRC was in WVirginia the other night apologizing for her "misstatement " about "putting coal miners out of business" -
but they wanted no part of her apology tour and basically ran her out on a rail.

I have him on ignore, so I miss a lot of it, he has always been obsessed with my husband and myself, while I don't even care if he is alive.

GEE; that must be why you've mentioned me, OH SO MANY TIMES, in other threads.

Hey Rana; your slip hypocrisy is showing, again. :chesh:

Tell me about the deeply-ingrained West Virginia dislike for Democrats...

"While Fallows laments the United States’ relatively minor role in developing clean coal technology, America has little reason for doing so. The United States is currently awash in low-cost gas, making new gas-fired generation far cheaper than coal. Fallows cites a utility executive’s claim that “the lowest-price coal plant might generate electricity for 2 cents per kilowatt-hour.” Yet this figure reflects the marginal cost for an existing plant, not the all-in cost.

Coal is on the outs, clean or not, it will not be viable again, not until the gas is gone.

It's Obama's fault that other energy is cheaper than coal.

Everything is Obama's fault.

Yeh I saw that, that woman is just totally disgusting. Misspoke my arse!

You aren't sorry, you love the snark.

Did you read the article? 2 million additional voters, and we probably haven't seen the end of it, now that Trump is the leader of the Republican party.

problem 1) you assume all 2 million are anti-trump votes

problem 2) colorado was probably going democrat anyway.. maybe nevada too. It hurts him in FL though.. maybe

problem 3) the data I have seen.. courtesy of CNN last night, is that Trump is exactly with lations where Romney was. So he's not majorly hemmoraging lation votes like you allude to. He's also up about 5% with African american voters, if you can believe it.

Trumps strategy is to turn out white voters, (which there are more of) and appeal to blue collar democrats (like the 50k that switches to vote for him in penn)
