Poll shows Trump is AHEAD of Hillary for the first time in presidential race

I can't believe this from you, you would put our country in the Twlight Zone just for a reaction from liberals?

Our country has lost its collective mind.

As November draws closer, you're going to hear the same from a number of "moderate" Republicans.

Like Borbo, the TRUE reason they are going to vote Trump will become apparent.

Rasmussen?

Hey, a drowning man will grasp at ANYTHING he thinks might help him stay afloat.

Trump has never held office, he is use to surrounding himself with yes men and getting his way. It is not how a Republic is handled.

Hillary has at least held office and knows that a President is not a dictator.

He is used to negotiating effectively to get the desired outcome. His guys may be yes men but the guy on the other side of the table is not.

I honestly don't think the country will be any more in the Twilight Zone with Trump than with Hillary (or Bernie for that matter) or I wouldn't vote for him. I think we're pretty bad off either way if these two are the best we can put forth for our top presidential candidates.

You're way off on this. Hillary will be like Bill. She's an expedient politician, and will govern to the center. She's a fairly average politician in many, many ways.

Trump is like an unstable element. He's the random. We'll wake up every day just hoping there are no bold, max-font headlines.

Yes I've heard that said especially by Nate Silver, however we shall see. I think that I mainly want him to win because it will cause so many liberals to have complete mental breakdowns especially the likes of Desh, Rana, Leon and Zippy.
As Pete Rose would say. Wanna bet? I'll give you 2:1 odds.

The bolded above is about all I have left. That's why I will likely vote for Trump in November if he is indeed the nominee. It is no longer a matter of one who supports my views or political positions. So I will be the obligatory political agitator.
I've considered voting for Trump on the basis of that he would at the very least make it a very entertaining four years...though I doubt much productive would be done.

Alas, Trumps winning is a long shot. I see no evidence of his turning any blue States Red and if the Dem nominee just wins Florida, it's all over with.

I have read that his negotiating skills consists of lawsuits and threatening to take his ball and go home.

I don't know how those two translate into the world of politics.

Not the first time that happened. I honestly can't believe Trump could be any worse than Bush. Certainly he's a loose cannon but somehow I just don't envision Trump being THAT incompetent.

I truly hope you are right, but there are some ways he could be worse, like Don Young, we will always be apologizing for the stupid things he says.

You know every time I ask someone who passionately opposes Hillary I rarely get nothing substantive from them other than ad hom talking points from right wing sources. Bernie....phlllbbbt he's nothing more than a throw back to the new deal era Democrats. He's hardly a radical. It's just that segments of the nation have drifted so far to the right that he appears to be.

In terms of ability...I see HC as certainly the best qualified and certainly the strongest leader and I think that's where she alienates lots of men. Something about a hard assed female leader that just puts them off their milque toast.

I disagree w/ you there. I don't think incompetence is the issue.

We've had Presidents who displayed some of the characteristics of narcissism before, but never a full-blown narcissist like Trump. I honestly don't know what he's capable of. He is incredibly thin-skinned and prone to rash pronouncements & actions.

She then why do so many women dislike/not trust her? All because of right wing b.s.?

You yourself said you would never vote for anyone who supported the Iraq War and now here you are proclaiming there's no substantive reason anyone should not support her.

They are so much more noisy than upset conservatives... I wish they'd keep to their promise to move. They never do though.

I doubt it. I think Trump, with his lack of experience in public administration, public policy, foreign policy and lack of political acumen would probably make a lot of mistakes but I also think he'd be smart enough to surround himself with good advisors and would attempt to govern well.

Hilliary is an experience national level politician who is hawkish on foreign policy and a centrist on domestic policy. Her being a strong, authoritative female leader just simply strikes an irrational button in a lot of men. Their dislike for her is mostly a visceral dislike of any woman with those non-traditional characteristics and not rational opposition to her ideas. Hillary simply represent s 4 more years of the status quo.

The only one of the major candidates who we should be genuinely afraid of is Ted Cruz. He's a rigid, inflexible ideologue and those people tend to make bad decisions based on belief and ideology and not reason, logic and facts. Fortunately he's a long shot. :)

If I vote for Hillary it will be because I think she's competent, has the relevant experience and will essentially maintain the status quo and if the status quo looks better than the vision for this nation than the other candidates bring to the table, then I guess I'm stuck with her. Which still beats Ted Cruz by a long shot.
