HIT THE DECK DONALD THERE'S A CRAZY RACIST BEHIND YOU WITH A GUN!

I got it from Wiki and they said it was Playboy. Do you think it's unreliable?

Read it and weep, bravs. :D

Certainly not any more reliable than the New York Post.....

and his alleged quote from 40+ years ago is not nearly as disgusting as Hillary gushing about her Sanger award considering what Sanger stood for and her overt racism.....or
LBJ's calling blacks niggers around the same time period......

the double standard being alive and well as it is in liberal land....thanks for playing.

Now - now - now.
You know that everyone is to be judged by EVERYTHING they have ever said or done, unless it's a liberal, and then everything they did or said in the past, is to be overlooked and forgotten; because liberals are the only ones who are to be judged by what they recently have said or done.

1. How is Obama a racist?

2. What is a race pimp?

3. How does campaigning in a particular group translate to ignoring other groups?

I would suggest that somebody like Al Sharpton fits the description very well. His whole raison d'être is centred around stirring up dissent and discord amongst people based on skin pigmentation. Not content with fanning the flames of hate in the US he has also been trying to do the same over here.

You are truly a fucking idiot, there is no such thing as race anyway except as a social construct. I am not the one running around the board like a blue arsed fly calling everybody racists.

Wayne has said he believed in white supremacy. By definition, that made him a racist.
Who he married or how many times has no bearing on that fact.
Poor Borbo

You are an example of the kind of person that truly pisses me off, you just love taking things out of context. In fact he was actually speaking up for positive discrimination towards blacks.
John Wayne was racist.

This belief comes primarily from a statement he made during a 1971 interview with Playboy magazine when he said, “I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. I don't believe in giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people.”

But people tend to take this statement out of context, as he also said, “we can't all of a sudden get down on our knees and turn everything over to the leadership of blacks.” Which is true, and it is not a racist statement. He believed in gradual integration, and I think an honest look at just about any black ghetto will support that view.
.
He believed that blacks had an honest right to feel resentment toward and to dissent regarding their treatment. Hardly the view of a racist. He worked with many blacks, including Scatman Crothers and Roscoe Lee Brown, and got along quite well with them. One should also take into account that not only did he have black friends (like Sammy Davis Jr.), but he had no problem in casting blacks in his films (such as James Watkins, who played J.C. in the film McQ, and Sidney Poitier in one of his first films and cast by Wayne in a lead role), and was married to three Latin American women during his life.

He did not dislike blacks for the sake of being black, and he tended to accept people based on their character rather than the color of their skin. So no, he wasn’t racist. He may have been racially insensitive from a politically correct standpoint, but he was far from racist.

Still can't see the racism in that sentence?

What complete nonsense. You can take any blurb out of context or through an anachronism and paint them to be a racist. Darwin was an abolitionist whose scientific work refuted the commonly held racist beliefs of his time and opposed already existing eugenic concepts. It is, in fact, evolution that overturned the widely held belief in the divine superiority of the "white race".

So-called "scientific racism" emerged around the same time that Darwin published his theory of evolution, but from a completely different group of people and for completely different reasons. In the mid-1800s both American slavery and European imperialism were coming under increasing criticism. During this time the idea of white supremacy became popular among those seeking to justify slavery and imperialism. Prior to Darwin, and after Darwin by opponents of evolution, biology was a theologically based field. The primary "scientific racists" were creationists who believed that science supported Biblical scripture, and that scripture supported slavery and the domination of one group over another.

There were a hell of a lot of famous people that supported eugenics.

No I can't, but I can see how you can though. Yes, it can be considered inappropriate for 2106, God how I hate that word, but he said that 45 years ago. Indeed I interpret that as calling for affirmative action and raising black people up from the ghettoes, but you only see what you want to see. If he was so racist then why did he hire and work alongside Sidney Poitier, Scatman Crothers, Roscoe Lee Brown and James Watkins?
