‘Crooked Hillary’? Her image as untrustworthy is not one she deserves

Wow. Not one she deserves? Whose email server are you smoking? Seriously. This woman is crooked, untrusted, and it is well-deserved.

Whether she deserves it or not (and I think that she does, mostly), the public mistrusts her by a large margin.

I'd say she was unelectable, if she had a decent opponent with a chance in Hell of being nominated.

Sadly, she doesn't.

There were all kinds of controversies/scandals during the Clinton's time in Arkansas and the White House and those had nothing to do with the crime bill (that's a #BLM issue).

At the end of the day "trustworthiness" in someone's eyes can be very subjective. You're a pretty ardent defender of Hillary. 1) there is absolutely nothing wrong with that and 2) holding those feelings I'm guessing it's not as easy to see why so many have this opinion of Hillary they do

I accept the statistics that people see her as untrustworthy. What I don't accept is holding her to a different standard than a lyin' sack of dung like Trump or Cruz.

Trump has higher unfavorable ratings than Clinton. No one likes Ted Cruz. Not really seeing a double standard here. Trump and Hillary may be the two most hated Presidential candidates to ever win their parties nominee.

And Hillary has over a 50% unfavorable rating with women. And we know more women than men are Democratic so it's not just partisan Republican women who dislike her.

Where do you get that 50% from? I have looked and from what I read, this is simply not true.

I don't see any pundits going back 30 years to examine Trump's deals and comment on whether they were honest or dishonest. The most people bring up is the bankruptcies. They don't examine his relationships with women and his cheating and adultery but they were quick to excoriate Ivana when she wrote about the rough sex that felt like rape. How about how he wasn't there as a father figure to his daughter with Marla? How about his clothing line being made in Chinese or Bangladesh sweatshops?

People don't like or trust Hillary but that doesn't mean there isn't a double standard at work.

I've seen it on RW sites like National Review and Newsmax. Yet look at the negs for Trump, women really hate him. Who is making him the presumptive nominee?

The percentages of women who had an unfavorable or negative impression of Trump in recent public polls are staggering: 67 percent (Fox News), 67 percent (Quinnipiac University), 70 percent (NBC News/Wall Street Journal), 73 percent (CNN/ORC) and 74 percent (ABC News/Washington Post).

1) Trump hasn't been in political office.

2) Trump has WORST numbers than Hillary.

3) Trump has been very public in much of his life. It's not like people don't know who he is or what he's done.

I know it pains you to see people not like Hillary. I'm not saying this in a bad tone but I don't what to tell you.

Hillary is favored to win the Presidency. It doesn't change that a majority of people don't like her and don't trust her.

I call people politicians when they are elected or appointed to office. Most of her adult life Hillary was not a politician. Nobody called Michelle, Nancy, Barbara or Laura politicians just because they were married to presidents.

People don't focus on the specifics of any Trump deals but still whine about Hillary's cattle futures trades from 30-odd years ago when she was not a politician.

I've known since Bill's first term that people didn't like Hillary but still say there's a double standard in the media treatment of the candidates.

How many people who have never been a politician move from Arkansas to New York and win a New York Senate seat?

It's a double standard to say it's ok that she uses her name recognition to win that Senate seat but she shouldn't be judged on her past

Anyone running for any elected office will use whatever sources and methods available to secure their election. Any only opinions about any of that are purely subjective and not to be taken very seriously. I've been watching Hillary and Bill ever since the 1980's and have seen both of them survive every accusation and personal attack against them over and over again. Why are the rightwingnuts so desperately afraid of them? Is this a Clinton weakness or a rightwingnut weakness? It seems to me that whatever the rightwingnuts want to throw at them both seem to walk away from it stronger and wiser. We'll see how it goes this time around!!!!!!!
