Judge upholds North Carolina's voter ID law

The ACLU and Southern Coalition for Social Justice announced Tuesday they're appealing the ruling that threw out their lawsuit against the voter ID law.

The director of ACLU released a statement saying "We are appealing."

The Southern Coalition for Social Justice senior attorney, Allison Riggs also released a statement saying, "We plan to move as quickly as possible to ensure that the Fourth Circuit has time to correct this egregious error before the November election."

Like I said. There isn't a damn thing YOU can do about it.

Why would the 4th Circuit correct something that isn't wrong?

It took one word to say "yes" to upholding the law. It took the rest in order for you dumbasses to have something to whine about because there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

The only dumb asses it needs to be explained to are those in NC. Do try to keep up.

This is about me. It's about a law you don't like that was upheld and all you can do is whine like the pussy you are.

I can do a lot more about those things that you'll ever know.

This is about you? I thought it was about unconstitutional voter suppression laws in a state that used to be prohibited from that sort of thing due to the Voting Rights Act.
You can't do much to stop a Clinton Presidency , can you.

Funny, I never heard the good Pastor forgive anyone. Have you?

His Father in Heaven must be the only one that can hear his righteousness, Brother Leon.

Meanwhile...

Voter ID laws are back in the news this week after a group of college students joined a lawsuit challenging North Carolina's new restrictive rules. And as Catherine Rampell pointed out earlier this week, it's not just ID laws - Republican state legislatures have been busy devising all manner of creative ways to make voting more difficult for traditionally Democratic-leaning groups.

All of these restrictive measures take their justification from a perceived need to prevent "voter fraud." But there is overwhelming scholarly and legal consensus that voter fraud is vanishingly rare, and in fact non-existent at the levels imagined by voter ID proponents. That hasn't stopped many Republican lawmakers from crying "fraud" every time they're faced with an unfavorable election outcome.
