I read the rules and apparently, posting personal information is prohibited. So, unless you want to go first - I'm not going to be induced into breaking the rules in my 17th post on a new site, with no idea how strictly the admin come down on such infractions. Hardly likely, I'd say. He was sent by his Irish mum (now sadly deceased) to a minor public school (now sadly defunct) somewhere down Sarf, and thence to a redbrick uni, which seems to have been the lone survivor of his early associations.

Yeah, I liked the film. Not the subject matter so much, but it was funny and very cleverly done. I read back through this thread - and milagro's right there from the off - stamping his little British feet. Lot of posts on his board - been here a while; and my guess is he's not too happy, another Brit turning up; funnier, happier - clearly far more intelligent, and with a diametrically opposed point of view. Guess we're not going to be pals after all. Still, they can't take from you what you won't miss.

There used to be a Northerner called Charver who posted here who set the standard for cleverness. Sadly he no longer visits, and Tommy TuTu's reactionary rantings have soured most people on Brits.
Don't worry about Tommy's threat to ignore or ban you, he's made the same idle promise lots of times but isn't capable of following his own advice.

Oopsican - since I have various persons on ignore because I think others find our discussions tedious, I am missing out on some of this. I've been here some time now, but I still find the way they have special names for one another baffling. Who did they think had a suggestion of the SWP about him, complete with anachronistic costume? I'm glad you've joined, and it has its points, but they are a very weird lot!
