Republican holding back Flint money

are the people of that state being denied the right to vote and replace those who are currently poisoning them?
They sure do, but the current officials have created such a disaster it is beyond the ability of the state to protect the people, that is the job of the Feds.

like how the feds handled waco? katrina? no, the state is quite capable of protecting the people, IF the people feel that it should be done. there is no issue so urgent that it can't be made exponentially worse by involving the feds.

I like how the feds handled Waco, except that they waited far too long and cut that jerk far too much slack.
Had they gone in sooner Koresh might not have had the opportunity to burn his place down and commit suicide / murder.

This is quite a different circumstance and to compare it to Waco or Ruby Ridge is just stupidity.

According to what ?

The Constitution affords basic protections for all.

If local gov't fails in that, the federal gov't has to step in. Surely, you aren't opposed to the idea of the feds stepping in on Flint, and protecting children from further adverse affects from the failures there?

Wasn't she just responding to the post you thanked, questioning why the feds should help in the first place?
