Whites 223,553,265
Blacks = 38,929,319

Next, approximately 47 million people are on food stamps. Whites make up 43%, blacks 33%. Not counting Hispanics, Asians or other.

Whites = 20,210,000 on SNAP.
Blacks = 15,510,000 on SNAP

You're not looking at the right numbers. You can't use the entire population, just the ones on food stamps. Total number of food stamp users is 47 million.

20,210,00 whites out of 47 million users = 43%

15,510,000 blacks out of 47 million users = 33%

The rest covers Hispanics, Asians and others.

According to the graph below my numbers in other posts over-counted blacks on SNAP. But no matter how you look at it, whites are still the largest share of users. Numbers come from the Dept. of Agriculture so don't start with "but, HUFFPO..."

Of course I can use those figures....and I have, to prove a point, and that is that YOUR figures give the wrong impression of the facts....
Of course more whites will be using just about everything because their population is far larger than the others....

You're beating a dead horse bravs. Way back in 12 I wrote that blacks have the highest percentage. Did you miss that?

If your argument is which segment of the population has the highest percentage of SNAP users, it would be blacks.

If your argument is which segment of the population would save the US the most money by losing SNAP, it would be whites.

So where do you want to go with this?

Cons are always complaining about cutting entitlements. If they want to cut back on SNAP, get rid of the biggest group, white users. I'm sure you can't deny the fiscal sense of this proposal.

My 'agrument' was NEVER about saving any money from the SNAP program....I don't know why you even bring that nonsense up....thats totally yours, you own it....

Suppose some crazy person wanted to end all SNAP benefits and that ended in the deaths of

That's exactly why I brought it up, don't you read posts from your fellow righties? They're constantly bitching about blacks taking government money and spending it on Air Jordans and flat-screen TVs. About blacks selling their SNAP cards for cash so they can buy beer and cigarettes. About blacks collecting welfare under different names to get more money. Your messiah reagan helped plant that nasty lie in peoples' minds with his crack about welfare queens and Cadillacs.

Cons want people off welfare because the economy is great and prosperity is reaching everyone. Seeing a steady increase of people reduced to welfare is bad to us but good for you.
You engineered it and you've done well furthering it.

I'd like all entitlement programs to end....and that can be done by encouraging growth in the economy, ending the fraud we know exists, among other things....

Which specifics in the OP do you say are lies? Post the sentences.

You guys crack me up. You (pl.) were chastising me for picking on poor little ol' Ray Lewis and said I should heed his words, but you don't apply the same standard to another black guy's opinion.

I've heard Wright's words before. Lying with statistics is a two-way street, buddy.

But then again we are only taking about food stamps with these numbers. And yes, the percentage of the black population on food stamps is far greater, just ahead of Hispanics.

Let's take a look at the whole picture and include all the welfare/public assistance. There is a PDF published in May 2015 titled "Dynamics of Economic Well-Being:
Participation in Government Programs, 2009–2012: Who Gets Assistance?" It is 29 pages of facts and figure and explanations of how the data was used. It has a lot of great information; I can't insert links yet but you can google "census p70-141.pdf"

Totals are from combined Medicaid, SNAP, Housing Assistance, SSI, TANF, and General Assistance programs. They break it down it many ways but here is a chart from where they break it down by race: well, I guess I can't post pics yet either so hear are the percentage by race for the years 2009/2010/2011/2012:

Program Participation Rates in Major Means-Tested Programs by Race and Hispanic Origin (Participated 1 or More Months): 2009–2012
(Percentage of noninstitutionalized civilian population)

Non-Hispanic White - 17.2 / 18.0 / 18.1 / 18.2
Black - 46.7 / 48.1 / 48.0 / 48.6
Asian or Pacific Islanders - 19.5 / 22.6 / 22.0 / 21.9
Hispanic (any race) - 44.1 / 46.3 / 45.8 / 45.7

So, uhm.. nearly half of all black and Hispanics receive free shit, twice the percentage of whites or asian/pacificers.

I never said that racism didn't exist at all in otherwise liberal or enlightened circles. We are all learning and growing and improving our humanity and multi-cultural tolerances. Many liberals are horrified and embarrassed when some, subconscious or not so subconscious, racist precept in their language, attitude or social behavior is pointed out to them. It needs to be done, no question about it.



Then of course there are people like CFM, Text Drivers, Celticguy, Chopped Liver, RacerX and StormX all hard core republicans or conservatives.
