Let’s debunk GOP myth of why blacks vote Democratic

It's not just blacks. It's this kind of ugly intolerant redneck populism your pointing out that repulses large numbers of white folk from the GOP as well. In fact a significant portion of the partisan political divide we see in this country is based on geography (and by that I mean urban vs. rural) and by one's attitudes on race.

No kidding and then when they come up with these bizarre rationalizations of why Black's don't trust the GOP, instead of making honest arguments that their own attitudes repulse blacks and other ethnic minorities, they try to rationalize that Blacks just don't vote in their best interest cause everyone knows that southern rednecks have Black folk best interest at heart.

It's incredibly insulting to anyone, not just people of color.

Cawacko is spot on right but the problem for the GOP is that they have painted themselves in a corner. They don't dare tell these bigot to fuck off cause they want their votes.

It's actually not a black-white thing. There are plenty of poor whites in WV that have become dependent on the government---and in too many instances it becomes generational.

They don't like Republicans either lol.

So the game plan is pretty clear.......increase the number of poor and needy= increasing those that will be inclined to vote for Democrats.....

Good point. What amazes me is some of the people, like Choppedliver, don't even think they are being racist. Constantly calling black people negroes and such is not anything but racist.

Not everyone likes what the Democrats are selling. We basically have two choices when voting so we can not like many parts of who we choose

Yes, but how will that change the current dynamics? If you have openly racist people on the right vs people who harbor some inner racism but openly kiss their ass which would you choose?
