Don't you ever say 'black on black crime' again

It's a relevant argument as long as Desh tells me and others a dozen times a day I'm racist, I'm evil, I'm a terrible human being and I want black people to die. Doesn't matter if she did it to a white person she's a white woman who spit on a black man. Think about that.

Is the goal to have more people in jail for drug charges?

Are you guys paying attention to your posts? I must be missing the etiquette rule that says drug dealers are entitled to respect. DRUG DEALERS.

Now if you spit on someone or attack them with a water hose that could be assault. If these people were assaulted by Desh they could have had her arrested but it didn't happen. It didn't happen because drug dealers wouldn't do such a stupid thing to call attention to their illegal behaviour of dealing drugs. I think some prioritizing is in order here. Drug dealers don't get a break. If they got out of that neighborhood with nothing but spittle and water on them, they should count themselves lucky.

I don't think you're a racist anymore than I think I, Rana and Desh are twats and worse. But unfortunately that's the language that gets thrown around here everyday. And I can't say I wouldn't be sorely tempted to spit on someone who called me a c*nt to my face. Probably wouldn't do it but it would take a lot of self-control.

So black people can talk about it, just not white people? Odd comment after you claim race was not singled out.

What kind of argument are you trying to make anyway? The author wrote "...the only race-based phrase to ever describe crime is black on black." He's not wrong. I interpreted his rant to mean that race shouldn't be mentioned if you're not going to apply it to all races or ethnicities equally.

Most gang-related crime is Hispanic. When do you ever read the words "Hispanic on Hispanic crime"? If you're like me, it's never. Why is that? Why is most white-collar crime not called "white persons crime"?

When you say you guys are you referring specifically to me or to others? I can only speak for myself but I pay attention to what I post.

You commented earlier about blacks getting arrested at higher rates than whites for similar crimes and your attitude above nailed exactly why. People don't like drug dealers standing out on their streets and will call the cops on them. A large majority of street drug dealers are black and Hispanic so it's not surprising they get arrested in higher numbers.

How do we know they were drug dealers? Was there a police report?

If not, then there's no proof they were drug dealers.

Racists profile black men all the time. Maybe Desh saw the white and black man together and jumped to conclusions.

If they were drug dealers, shouldn't Desh have informed the police?

Since she took the "law" into her own hands, I can only imagine that she was acting as a vigilante.

Desh meted out less humiliating punishment to a white man than she did to a black man that she accused of the same "crime".

That's racial discrimination.

Have you seen FBI stats on crime? It is broken down into race on race crime. I don't know why people mention it all the time, but I think in this case, it is because they are saying black lives matter, but not addressing the violence that kills the most black people. Also, it is black people who injected race into this issue. Black lives, not all lives, just black lives. I have never seen a white or Hispanic lives matter and if we did I am certain many people would say that is racist, especially if it is was white lives matter. Black lives matter is not applied to all races or ethnicities equally.

I don't know if this is true or not, but it seems the media and black activists seem to only care about black lives when it is by a police officer or a white person and double if it is a white policemen.

Can you give me a cite to support that most gang related crime is hispanic.

Just ask Evince out already. We are sick of you talking about her all over the board. You can't stop thinking and talking about her.

It is weird.

I am going by the statement she made in her post several years ago. I'm taking her comments at face value and not trying to argue points not in evidence.

If they weren't drug dealers and she attacked them, they could have had her charged with assault. Where is the police report from the two men saying they were assaulted?

If they were drug dealers I don't see any reason why they deserved decent, fair or equal treatment, or why spitting is considered more racially significant than hosing.

I'm taking the position that a person doesn't attack others out of the blue without having to face consequences for those actions.

I also wonder if this would have gotten more than a second's notice if both of the perps were white.

Most gang related crime is Hispanic? You sure about that?

Yes. If this has changed since then, somebody will be sure to tell me.

Maybe in wordsmiting here but black and Hispanic gang involvement looks pretty close in numbers. If you said Hispanic and blacks are most gang members then I would say that's accurate. But Hispanics alone are many? You chart doesn't support that

I thought Shaun King spelled out his argument pretty clearly. He wasn't talking specifically about BLM or black on black crime. He was pretty straightforward in his comments ".. the overwhelming majority of crimes are committed by a racial group against that same group."

The people on Daily Kos who commented are similar to those here. They put their own perspective on it and answered accordingly.

From the same page: "The most recent figures provided by law enforcement are 46 percent Hispanic/Latino gang members, 35 percent African-American/black gang members, more than 11 percent white gang members, and 7 percent other race/ethnicity of gang members."

So there is a lot of gang crime and when it's broken down, the highest percentage is by Hispanics.

I guess I don't see an eleven percent difference, and less than a majority overall, worthy of calling gang banging Hispanic on Hispanic.

Out of curiousity if someone to ask you to name two gangs who would say?

Spoiler below...

I'd be wiling to bet money most people would answer the Crips and the Bloods - both black gangs

Surenos, MS-13 and Nortenos are three of the biggest Latino gangs to my knowledge but they aren't as well known as the Bloods and the Crips.

That has nothing to do with numbers, rather, the media.

Okay, so why can't people talk about it? Why does he and you want to censor discussion?

Is most of "racism " a dostorted sef-imposed" sense of reality?

Maybe someone can help me understand one point when the issue of "racism" is brought up. If someone's actions, remarks, expressions, thoughts (or posts on a web-site) can adversely affect another's life to the point that they feel adversely affected or offended, aren't the "offended or affected seeding a certain amount of power or superiority (only in the minds of the affected-offended) over the group adversely affected. In other words, you don't know any of these people on this site personally, but I sense a bit of vulnerability or self imposed inferiority on your part. You know your life matters! you have pride! You know God loves us all the same and sees us all the same so why do the self proclaimed "oppressed do this to themselves?

Okay, so why can't people talk about it? Why does he and you want to censor discussion?

It's been talked about for 157 posts here but if it wasn't, it's because of people like you saying wrongly that I want to censor discussion. Then it devolves into an argument about "you're censoring", "no, I'm not."
