Donald Trump says he wants to study a petition that calls for allowing the open carry of guns at the Republican convention this July in Cleveland.

While proclaiming himself "a very, very strong person for Second Amendment," the Republican front-runner told ABC's This Week that "I have not seen the petition. I want to see what it says. I want to read the fine print."

Posted on the website change.org, the petition notes that "though Ohio is an open carry state, which allows for the open carry of guns, the hosting venue -- the Quicken Loans Arena -- strictly forbids the carry of firearms on their premises." That "is a direct affront to the Second Amendment and puts all attendees at risk," said the petition that has more than 35,000 signers as of Sunday.

What fine print? There isn't any. What does Trump fear? :dunno:

Don't you support the second amendment right of all Americans to keep and bear arms?

If guns save lives, and gun-free zones are "bait" and the only thing that stops bad guys with guns is good guys with guns, you must sign the petition...or the Democrats win!

Are you trying to pave the way for some left wing assassin to get into the Republican Convention ?

An Ohio concealed carry license does not allow totally unfettered carry. Any owner of private property can ban handguns by posting a sign in clear view or providing verbal notice. Additional "no-carry" zones are mandated by O.R.C., including most government buildings, churches, and school property with the latter two zones having exceptions for licensees in certain circumstances. Various other "no-carry" zones are also enumerated.
I support everyones rights.....

According to the policy on their website, "firearms and other weapons of any kind are strictly forbidden on the premises of Quicken Loans Arena." They have their rights too.

But don't guns save lives ? Isn't the best defense against bad guy with a gun, a good guy with a gun?
