Well isn't the licence fee very much a socialist measure? It keeps the BBC free from adverts and not have to always pander to the lowest common denominator. I would have thought you'd be all for that!!

I'll remember to consult with him before I deal with my next electrical issue on my house. But, yeah, he spent enough time in the business of electronics that I would say, in his time, he was an authority. Not a Tesla, but a practical authority nonetheless.
