Republican front-runner Donald Trump warned of riots if he is denied the party's presidential nomination.

Trump said the party could not deny him the nomination should he fail to win enough delegates.

"I don't think you can say that we don't get it automatically. I think you'd have riots. I think you'd have riots. I'm representing many, many millions of people."

Republican strategist Ron Bonjean said it might be tough for the party to block Trump. "A contested convention would be justified if Trump only had around 35 or 40 percent of the delegates locked up. However, if he is very close to getting the majority of delegates, it would be politically difficult for the establishment to try stop him by backroom wheeling and dealing without risking a serious backlash,” said Bonjean.

Yes. It makes me wonder how the entire process could have degenerated from the farce that we're used to into this deadly prospect.
 
Trump isn't remaking or expanding the GOP, he's distilling it; he's doubling down in the hopes of squeezing one more successful run out of the old Reagan coalition before relentless demographic changes leave it in the dustbin of political history.

Many people think he's going to bring out all sorts of Reagan Democrats and white voters and he's going to compensate for" the growing nonwhite share of the electorate.

Trump's charge may well present the last and most flamboyant serious attempt at the White House with a lily-white political coalition. (Or not: He's such an idiosyncratic and sui generis candidate that movement conservatives will undoubtedly blame the man, not the message or the coalition.)

Either way, it's a safe bet that there will be GOP on GOP riots at the convention this summer.
I hope they run JEB as a third party candidate when Donald sews up the nom.
It's gonna be so much fun to watch.
 
If GOP'ers can manage to do more than create a convention floor ruckus if Trump is screwed out of the nomination I'll be real surprised. Though it will be hyped as a 'riot' in the media and by the left.

Now, if you want to see some real rioting, let the DNC screw Bernie out of the nomination. These people know what they're doing when it comes to 'protesting' lol.
